I'm in the same situation as you! I just received this in the mail, but it does not make a sound, despite the fact that it indicates that batteries are required. The rocking horse we received has a sewn-on belly (no Velcro!). ), and it's obvious that it's an empty hollowed-out compartment! Aside from the missing audible component, the horse appears to be in good working order. We had intended for this to be a Christmas present, so we're not sure how well-received it will be. This rocking horse is one of my favorites. br>Am I the only one who didn't get the audible component and has to make do with a sewn-on-on-on-on-on-on-on-on-on-on-on-on-on-on-on-on- belly button tucked in?
I bought it for my then 1-year-old son. 1/2 year- grandson, five years old a year and a half ago While he was playing with it, I was only around him for a few moments. My granddaughter, who is almost two and a half years old, is my pride and joy. She wasn't being rough or rambunctious when she rocked on her rocking horse and the horse flipped forward. I'm just rocking out while watching a movie. She slammed her arm against the wall and sobbed loudly, thank goodness she didn't hit her head, face, or neck. The glides/runners on the bottom of this rocking horse are too short and lack a stop point. It's extremely hazardous.

Because the base is made of sanded pine that hasn't been varnished, it may be vulnerable to liquids. It doesn't come with batteries, which I don't mind at all. He has so many other toys that make noise that I'm going to let this one go for a while without them because he still has room to grow. Overall, I'm quite pleased.

There isn't a sound from this horse. It's very light weight, so I'm not sure if it'll be safe for my rambunctious grandson. It's adorable. However, it is not something I would advise. I kept it because Amazon issued a partial refund. good luck.
It was simple to assemble this horse. It was supposed to make noise, but it doesn't. The only reason I chose this horse over others was because of this. The horse is extremely light. My two-year-old can pick it up and carry it around the house.
