Questions & Answers
I bought these for my granddaughter for Christmas, and she doesn't live close by, but they're pink, purple, yellow, and white, and they're about four or five inches long? They're big enough for little hands and can't be swallowed, so they're really chunky. I believe there are other bags available in a variety of colors.
The blocks are said to be free of PVC. BPA isn't mentioned at all. They're a hit with my grandson.
The answer is that there is no BPA in these because BPA is used to make polycarbonate (clear plastic used in drinking bottles), whereas these are made of polypropylene, which is safe enough to be used in medical implants.
Mega blocks are two times the size of standard blocks. As a result, even the tiniest children will be able to grasp it. br>Although Mega blocks can be stacked on top of Duplo blocks, this isn't very practical.

When my other two children were the same age (now 12 and 7), I bought them the same blocks. Her 7-year-old sister will play with her and help her build things with these because they don't break easily and are large enough for her to grip. They're an excellent toy for a rambunctious toddler. This is a fantastic way to improve motor skills. Additionally, the colors are appealing. This purchase has met our expectations.
I bought these for my three-year-old daughter, who has been in Early Intervention since she was one year old because she develops skills more slowly than most children her age, but she adores these blocks and they have greatly aided her. She has a good understanding of colors and can count them. Not to mention that they're large enough for her small hands to put together on their own, which has helped her coordination and creativity. Her therapist is so pleased with her progress that she is about to be released from E. when her birthday comes around!.
The issue I'm having with them is. I should have done my homework and read some other reviews. These appear to be quite poisonous. The issue I have with them is that the majority of the pieces are one block, making them unsuitable for construction.
I'm only half-satisfied with this purchase because everything is in perfect working order. There were two issues I had with this product. A few of the blocks had random stickers on them, and some of them were seriously crooked. I had no idea some of them came with stickers, and I don't believe they are supposed to. I discovered a large amount of what appears to be white dog hair. My mother assumed it was plastic from the product, but because it's wavy, I believe it's hair. Idk. That's about it. The finished product meets my expectations.
The parents, too, were engrossed in the construction craze. I was pleased to discover that the red building bases I purchased for my children 25 years ago are compatible with these 21st-century mega blocks. I know reviews are supposed to be brief, but this purchase resulted in the following two outcomes. To begin with, the adults found it therapeutic to be able to sit down and relax in the midst of their children's antics. As they talked their way through their concerns as adults, they built concrete things. As a result of this, I started carrying a bag of these blocks with me when I went to assisted living dementia care units and even when I went to see my hospice patients. The ability to control the formations in their lives was a priceless means of communication and a way of calming their respective anxieties each time. So, yes, I would strongly suggest this "toy" to anyone. Thanks!.
Pros: br>Big enough that the baby won't be able to swallow itbr>Visually appealing - bright colors, appealing shapesbr>Durable while also being lightweight, they can throw it around and not break it AND not break things in the housebr>Love the storage bag, my little one enjoys playing peek-a-boo in the see-through part of itbr>br>Only con: br>Because some of the blocks were loose, they kept turning/falling off as I tried to put them together. I'm hoping they don't get any looser as time goes on.
I'm sick to my stomach. These were a present for my 1-year-old daughter. This was put to use! I smelled a fragrance as soon as I opened the package. I examined the blocks' bag, which appeared to have been bitten a couple of times and had smudges all over it. So I opened it up, and oh my goodness, all the blocks were covered in this thick, stinky oil! My hands are caked in whatever it is, and the oil stains on the Amazon box can be seen. Thank goodness I double-checked these! Who knows what would have happened if I hadn't intervened and my daughter had ingested these chemicals! Don't buy.
