A Chinese island.
My understanding is that it is rubber. Bath time is made easier with this. It is actually not easy to prevent mold from growing inside, but I covered the holes with a glue gun. My toddler still loves them.
Despite the fact that it says so on the product listing, I cannot find any information on the box that says BPA free or anything else free.

Our two toddlers used them daily in the bathtub, squirting out all the water after use and then storing them in an uncovered plastic container until they were Several days ago, we noticed some black specks escaping from them when we squeezed water from them. it open and sure enough, mold was growing in some of the tighter corners (paws, etc. )
THIS IS NOT A HUGE DEFECT, BUT IT IS WHAT IT IS! I'm sure you know this! These bath toys are for bathing. I'm sure you know this! Water is part of their everyday lives. I'm sure you know this! In many cases, it is almost impossible to get every drop of water out, and any moisture in the toy or in your bathroom can cause mold. What's this like?
Is it bad? This is true-these toys last for a relatively short period of time I will stretch. The more I read reviews where people are outraged that these toys grew mold, the more I get annoyed. How in the heck did you think that would play out? It would be prudent for you to exercise a bit of common sense when it comes to bath toys.
Mold may not be able to be avoided with these as they currently stand, according to one of the top reviews. It takes a lot of effort for them to dry themselves off even though they squirt out a lot of water. Mold will eventually grow here, so if you want to be safe, I advise you to toss it out after a while. I either cut out the bases of the squirters or I cut out the centre. At the bottom of each of the lines is a circular manufacturing line. It's easy to remove the circle since all I did is cut off the circle with a box cutter (you could use scissors if you prefer). When you put your palm over the circle, the toys still squirt. As a result, they actually fill with water more quickly. It has taken us about three years for the mold to appear since we've been able to dry them.
Originally very cute, my daughter loved it, but it became moldy after about a month. In an attempt to clean with vinegar / bleach / hot water, I tried all three. Despite its help, it didn't get rid of all the problems. Unless the company comes up with a cleaner made specifically for these water toys, I would not recommend using this product over a period of two months.
I've taken out a few, but I keep the rest. I love the container these come in because I can take one or two out every now and then, and my daughter will have a brand new bath toy without having to keep buying them! As soon as you immerse them, squeeze the air out of them and then release your grip so that the water can get into the toy. Squirt water on it after it has been raised to the surface. After her faces are squirted and the soda bottles are empty, my daughter loves observing them float! Each of the toys has a different spot where the water emerges, so she doesn't know where the water will come from. I had a great time!.
It was great to watch my little one play with these toys it is very cute. They have been with us since he was an infant of about 2 months old and up to now (18 months), so they're both very well made. You need to be careful as a parent, unfortunately. The black slimy algae we recently noticed is not pleasant to look at It was later found to be the insides of the toys that left stuff in the bathtub while he was taking a bath. The internal structure of these toys are too hard to drain all of the water out of them, and that is why they became a perfect breeding ground for microorganisms and microbiological enzymes. MOLD is in the air! I now have to say goodbye to these little fellows, as it makes a child who enjoys biting and nibbling unsafe to have them around. The only thing that would make these perfect is if the design changed to make it easier to get the water out otherwise I would not recommend them.
It's cute that they do that. It's fun to play with them. However, as others have stated, it is really hard to get the water out before the mold grows. It seems inevitable that I will eventually get mold, even though I've yet to experience it. Squeeze and squeeze after a bath, hang upside down to dry, and give various toys "breaks" to assure they don't remain in the water night after night. The difference is not important. Whether water sloshes around or not, I'm shaking one to get you to hear the sound. My plan is to glue them together after they've dried out The next step is to gun the holes. I know it defeats the purpose of a "squirt" toy but I would rather my kids get mold on their faces than squirts of water.
The interior has the potential to grow mildly if care is not taken. To get the best value from it, use it for 6 months, then replace it with a new set, or wash it once in a while with vinegar and.
It is so cute to play with them whilst taking a bath, and my 12 month old ADORES them. The pads will probably mold after time (even though we squeeze them out as much as we can after each bath), but they were really cheap, so if she hasn't grown out of them by that time, we may buy them again. were a couple of them that I sealed simply because they were hard to squirt water from (namely the starfish and My little one's hands found them to be an ideal size despite being a little smaller than I expected. When I upload a picture of myself holding one, I'll try to show the palm-shaped shape of it Just to give you a sense of its size (a medium-sized ladies hand). Rather than giving her them all at once, I only give her 2 at a time and that seems to keep her entertained for a while.
