Honestly, I was expecting a sticker, which I knew my 4 yr old would most likely of pasted all over the place. The purchase was not what I had hoped for, but it was what I needed. Interestingly, these are actually not sticky, but there is a book with "sticker" pages in which these can be placed. Would vinyl work? People who stick to each other do so for a reason.
