Sew Mini Gardens (Klutz Craft Kit)

Among the best purchases I've made for my kids, this has to be one. Over the weekend, they worked on this a lot. It kept kids so occupied all weekend that they basically stayed quiet the whole time. It was super helpful to have the cut outs. Cutting out the pieces, tracing them on the fabric, then sewing them together was all there was to it. The sight of mutant plants sewn on that I was supposed to love made me laugh, yet I was actually impressed, and I'm sure you were too! Let me be honest with you. I love my kids and some of their crafts are something only a mom can appreciate. It's not true in my kitchen I keep their sewed garden. There are excellent directions included with this kit, and all the needed supplies are included. These are the second kit I have purchased as they are very high-quality. Most of the things that I have to do with my 8 year old can be handled by her alone. Although the kit comes with a pot, it is quite small, so we needed to buy more pots and pipe cleaners from the dollar store to finish our project. The price is reasonable.

I have been making projects from here with my kids for years. An independent 10 year old would be able to do this. If you buy more fabric, you can make as many as you want with the templates included with the kit. know a crafty kid, this is a great gift for him or her. There have even been adults who have said they would like to try it.
