In my 12th year of life, I got into tying safety pins and safety pins and putting sheets together to make dresses. Every time I do it, I have a good feeling. This toy caught my eye so I bought it. Aside from the paper pad and the markers, you can also get both for a really low price. It would have been nice to get some better quality than the stuff that's given away as party favors. It is one of my favorites. Due to its large size, the box appears to be more expensive than it really is. So she can come up with even more designs, I'm likely to buy this again. This set is very cute and great for both my daughters (ages 7 and 8). It is strange because the eye is slit to make it more like a hook, which makes threading super easy, but the thread can come out of the eye and caught in the hook when sewing. It's more bulky than a Barbie, which I like, but it's larger than a doll I'd normally buy. It is harder to dress Barbie in bigger clothes since it is hard to put clothes on her.
Overall, this is a nice set with a lot of fabrics to choose from.
