These activity pads came in twos for me. I take care of my two-year-old son and daughter. year- twin granddaughters who are over a decade old It's amusing to watch them as they assist one another in coloring the pages. When one twin notices that she hasn't completed the page, the other offers to assist her. Work as a team I suppose that's what it means to create a collaborative environment.

Every page is "laminated" with a very thin sheet of paper - this is the basic concept. It's similar to tissue paper but lasts longer. When the water in the pen moistens the paper, it becomes see-through. through, revealing the image beneath. There isn't any kind of chemical reaction going on here. If Water Wow wasn't marketed as an "on the go" product, I'd give it a five-star rating. The main issue with traveling with Water Wow is this: Before putting the brush back in its case, make sure it is completely dry. The directions state as much. This means you can't use it in a car or anywhere else unless you have access to a sink. There are portable professional brushes that mimic this brush. Even when you're not using them, they hold water, and if you use one of these brushes instead of the one that comes with the pad, it becomes portable again. Water gets everywhere and warps the boards if you try to travel without emptying this provided brush. Even if you don't travel with it, the brush leaks profusely and will quickly warp the boards unless you wipe them dry after painting them. br>This is the type of brush I suggest: Pentel Arts Aquash Water Brush Assorted Tips, Pack of 3 (FRHBFMBP3) If they had just given their brush a little more attention, this product would be as functional as it is advertised. But, because the brush leaks, it's pointless to keep water in it. At that point, a regular kids craft brush with a small drip bottle to drop water on the canvas, which the user then spreads around with the brush, would have been a better product that usesbr>less water in the long run. br>What you get in this one product without purchasing a better brush is adequate, but unless you go to the trouble of purchasing a portable water brush, this product isn't "on the go" at all.
I bought this Melissa and Doug product for my 14-month-old to use when he's fussy and needs to calm down, or when I need to keep him occupied for a short period of time; it's perfect for both of those things! For him, we purchased Water Wow: Animal Edition. There are four pictures in total that can be used again and again. A farm with a cow, sheep, pigs, an apple tree, and other animals can be found on the first page. The second page features underwater creatures such as fish, jellyfish, and other marine life, while the third page features a pet shop and the fourth page features a jungle with a monkey and other animals. The best part about this coloring book is that when you wet it, it turns colorful, and when it dries, it returns to white, allowing you to reuse it over and over. It's mess-free, so a young child can play with it while traveling or sitting in the pew at church. I've already put a few more Water Wow items on my son's Christmas wish list, so hopefully he'll get a few more this year. This is a product that I would strongly recommend for children aged one to ten. It'll most likely be a hit with the kids under the age of 5!.
It's great for traveling and it's super simple to use! This is something I would recommend as a gift for anyone's children! br>br>My son, who is only two years old, outsmarted this in less than a day. To do so, follow these steps: br>While I was cleaning up the kitchen and preparing lunch, I gave him this to play with and see how he did. I turned around to see him with the "marker" in his mouth after noticing his unusual silence. (I'm drinking the water from it. ) He sits back down on the floor, folds over like a taco, and drools on the coloring book after being told many times to color in his coloring book and him not listening. He did this in front of my eyes. br>Then he begins to scream, "Uh ooh. UH ooh. MOMMA, OH MY GOD!! "Then I realized it right after he did. " He used his drool to "color. " He's also bored now. So. After a few days of it being in the closet, I'll keep it in the car with a water bottle and. . . I guess I'll just leave it there. Every parent believes their child is intelligent. Until they can come up with a simple toy in under 24 hours.
When he paints, he likes it when things that aren't visible on the page appear. We play a game called 'Can you find it?' while he paints. The cloud, the egg, and the fish are all metaphors for the same thing. This keeps him more engaged as he paints different parts of the picture in search of the object. br>br>I like how it's mess-free and portable. One disadvantage is that the pen holder is not particularly sturdy, and the pen frequently falls out when placed in a bag. That, however, is only a minor annoyance. br>br>I've ordered three more water wow books because we enjoyed it so much. br>br>If you found this useful, please let me know! If things change after I've used it for a while, I'll update my posts.
This was one of several items I bought for my 18-month-old son to keep him occupied on a flight. The quality was excellent, as one would expect from a Melissa product. This Doug product is great for when you're on the go because it takes up very little space. My son, who is half his age, was able to hold the paint brush and paint just fine, and I didn't realize it was reusable until the flight back when I noticed all of the colors on the pages had gone white again. Overall, I would recommend, and we will probably purchase other ones as he gets older. The paintbrush did leak water everywhere, so don't make the same mistake I did and put it away when there is still water inside.
She was about 5 years old at the time, and she was enthralled by the magic of seeing a colorful picture appear as she moved the pen around. She enjoys using her water pen to find the secret hidden pictures now that she is almost three years old. They all have a "things to find" list that she likes to follow, such as 3 flamingos, etc. I love the pen itself; it feels more like painting with water than drawing with a marker, as some others do. This makes coloring the entire picture a lot easier, but it makes fine work like writing letters a little more difficult. br>br>The boards do warp after a lot of use, and we once had two of them get moldy because they were left in a bag for too long without being dried first; however, for the price, I don't mind having to replace them on a regular basis if they have issues like that. br>br>Airplanes are where we use water boards the most. My mother pays for us to fly down every few months to see my parents (her grandparents), which is a four-hour flight. I always bring a variety of activities for the plane, but this is one of our favorites! It's not at all messy, and finding all of the items on the list is a lot of fun.
