Questions & Answers

In this book, which four images do you see? (I'm checking to see if they're in line with our religious beliefs.) ?

David is a good example of someone who Goliath; Joseph is a good example of someone who a multi-colored coat; A total of 5,000 people are fed by Jesus. The little children were blessed by Jesus.

I know that aqua doodle fades after a while, but how long do these last? Is it true that these are made of paper?

After six pretty sloppy uses, ours are still going strong. Even if they eventually give up, the fun the grandkids have had with them will have been worth it. Keep in mind that we're talking about 1 1/2 and 2 1/2 year olds who can't seem to stop themselves from scribbling with regular markers or paints. The pages are made of a thick, coated cardboard that hasn't warped yet.

Is the pen supposed to resemble a paintbrush in appearance? The bristles are spread out like a brush, not a pen, when I received it. ?

It's similar to a brush, yes. It has a pen-like back. I wish I had the ability to send you a picture right now.

Is it possible to complete this task without using a pen? We wanted to send it to our sponsored child, but they only allow certain materials, so we couldn't send the pen. ?

Yes, that is correct. However, the purpose of this is to demonstrate how to use a pen. Consider how young I was when I first realized how water could color this black and white piece of paper. When the child uses the pen to paint colors, he or she is completely enthralled. It's just an empty little plastic bottle that can hold water, but it would be more useful to me if it came with a pen.

Excellent for travel - Scratches all over
3/5

This is a fantastic idea that will keep the kids occupied, especially when traveling. The mess is kept to a minimum. We've had it for two years and the water has never leaked from the pen! You fill the pen with water, and the kids use it to brush the white picture away, revealing the colors and pictures beneath. It dries in 10 minutes, and they are free to color once more! The "seek and find" game on each page adds to the fun. My main criticism is that it is easily scratched, which detracts from the overall concept. If your child uses too much pressure, the hard surface of the water pen, which holds the brush, will scratch the white coating, revealing the colors beneath permanently. I wish the pen's end was made of a softer material to prevent this from happening. br>Overall, a great concept, but mediocre execution.

As heirlooms, we're passing these down
5/5

It's unusual for an activity like this to be passed down through generations, but the Water Wow books have made it through two children (nearly ten years) and are now being passed on to a new cousin. These are likely to last a few more decades. There is a container that holds the brush, but we've lost it before, so you can use a bowl of water and a regular clean paintbrush, qtip, or even your finger. The novelty of doing things in new ways appeals to children. After they've finished applying the water, they'll move on to the next step. They'll color it in when they're younger, and when they're older, they'll solve the maze - With the objects in the picture, there is a game of seek and find. The seek and find game is great for learning to count and read numbers. There are no small parts to lose (which tend to roll to the floor in a car or on an airplane and are difficult to find again), and all of the drawings and the brush are attached together, making them ideal for travel. Also, unlike crayons or markers, it does not make a mess. This is why, when I need an activity for the kids, I bring these to restaurants or to my family's house; they won't mark up the tablecloth or the furniture by accident. For the same reason, I use Crayola color wonder markers, but these books leave even less of a mark, require no cleanup, and are completely self-contained. kept in check.

Our "church bags" will love it
5/5

Our four-year-old twin daughters are our only children. It's become difficult to keep them sitting still during mass. Despite the fact that our church provides small writing pads for the children, they simply pick up scraps of paper from the floor. This was the solution. It keeps our girls occupied, and it's adorable when they point to the book and ask, "Is he talking about this Jesus as well?" Just one word of advice: make sure they're filled with water before you leave the service when they hear His name.

COLOR ONCE MORE, TWICE MORE, THREE TIMES MORE! Melissa has created these Water Wow sets
5/5

Doug is a fantastic travel companion! You're set for a lot of kid entertainment as long as you have water and patience to refill the little pen over and over! br>br>The vehicles book was originally purchased for my 3-year-old son to play with in the car. I decided to order a second one because he and his 5-year-old sister had so much fun with it. She's currently obsessed with all things fairy and princess, so this was an excellent choice, and she and my son still alternate between the vehicles and the fairies. It's ridiculously simple to use these. br>br> The background is white and there are black lines on the page. When you add water, the white fades away, revealing a vibrant scene beneath. When it dries, the page returns to its original white color. This is one of those coloring pages that you can keep coming back to. Although some of the white will eventually get scratches, this does not detract from the enjoyment. br>br>I've included a few photos to show you all of the scenes from the book. It includes four coloring pages, each with a different fairy-themed image. br>br>I strongly advise you to read these books. I'm sure there are several versions, and the two we have are both enjoyable and entertaining. They're fantastic for traveling by car or on a plane. Waiting in a restaurant, for example.

This is a fantastic, re-usable painting book
5/5

In her Easter basket, I placed this for my three-year-old daughter. It'd make a great stocking stuffer as well. It also aids in the development of fine motor skills and pencil grip in children. br>br>I'm guessing she's painted this book 50 times since getting it last month. Every time she opens the book, she's still overjoyed to see the pages have returned to their original white color, as the water has evaporated completely, leaving no spots between the pages to cling to. Even when wet, the pages are nicely thick. Our daughter can paint completely independently, open and close the pen storage, and put the pen back and close it securely each time. She can sit and paint for up to 30 minutes at a time. Because she enjoys it so much, I'll probably put another one in her stocking for Christmas. When our other children were younger, I was unaware of these, but when my one-year-old son is a little older, I'll get him one as well. These are extremely reasonably priced, and the fact that they are reusable makes them well worth the investment. They're ideal for keeping in your car or bag for kids to use while waiting for their food at a restaurant. I can't say enough about how much I like these! Ours is still in the same condition as when I first got it.

It's a great way to keep the kids occupied
5/5

I was looking for new things to buy for my kids to keep them occupied on the plane before my family went on vacation. When I saw this water pad, I remembered that some of my other friends had purchased them for their children as well. I decided to go with it, and this momma was ecstatic! My second child, who is two years old and much more active than my first. 5 years old, she was occupied with the pads (of which I purchased several) for the entire 6 hour plane ride (granted, she did sleep in between), as well as during the trip and on the way back. The only drawback is that the pad won't last for years because water eats away at the cardboard after prolonged use, but for the price, it'll last long enough for them to enjoy it. br>br>Get this for your kiddo if he or she is in need of a new toy or something to keep them occupied. You will not be sorry.
