A bird did, in fact, make a home in it. The bottom fell out after a couple of bad storms. As a result, on the bottom, I'd use a fairly strong glue.
The wheels do spin, but not as quickly as a regular matchbox car.

Painting them was the most enjoyable part! He stuck the stickers on them after they had dried. Both the parent and the adult had a good time, and he was overjoyed when they were finished and he could play with them. The wheels of fortune turn! Everything is in working order, and the cars are stunning! I will definitely purchase this for one of his friends as a birthday or Christmas gift.
We began to notice birds arriving for the Spring season, and my daughter expressed an interest in purchasing a birdhouse, so I suggested that we build one together. She went with this option. Because it's inexpensive, I wasn't expecting anything spectacular, and some of the reviews may be harsh, but it's a perfectly adequate project for a child. I had no trouble getting the holes to line up when I was putting the pieces on, but they don't line up with each other. We replaced the unmarked tube of what appears to be elmers (type) white glue with actual wood glue and a hot glue gun because it came with an unmarked tube of what appears to be elmers (type) white glue. It was simple to put together, and my 6-year-old is pleased that he was able to accomplish something. I could have made the prices fit together better, but at that point, you'd be better off starting over. It's a good day project for a kid as long as they know what they're getting.
The body and the fenders are not the same size or shape. br>The wheel's hole is not in the center. br>Because the axle holes were dirty, the axle could not rotate freely. br>Wheel decal is larger than the wheel, causing the wheel to not roll evenly. br>Absolutely terrible production, and assembling it was extremely frustrating.
I really shouldn't have hoped for anything more! The pieces aren't going to fit together; approximately 3 glue dots are included; Paintbrushes that aren't even as big as the ones that come with a dollar store watercolor set; Overall, it was a complete letdown. The paint is of excellent quality. Although the colors are vibrant, they are insufficient to cover the birdhouse. There is enough to decorate it, but not enough to use as a base color. For a child who was trembling with anticipation when the package arrived, this was a huge disappointment.
I'm a teacher, and I bought three of these kits for my class, so I opened them and was all set to start, which is exactly what I had planned for this hour, when wham, one of the boxes didn't have the holes in the frame for the wheels, which you can't put together correctly without them. So I hurriedly opened the other boxes, only to discover that two more were missing the wholes. Now that I've only bought enough for everyone to get one, I'm stuck, and these won't fit together. I'm extremely disappointed. This was a fantastic project that was simple enough for my Special Education students to complete, but not when the frame was missing holes. Buyers beware, and inspect your box as soon as it arrives to avoid being caught off guard, as I was. This was something I was really hoping would work out for them.
It's nice and not too bulky, and my son enjoyed painting it, but there wasn't enough glue in the packet, and there was no way he was going to be able to put it together himself, so I had to, which upset him. One thing they don't tell you is that your first step should be installing the chimes because I just assumed that the directions would include that, so I followed them and in the end couldn't use them because it was too late I.
The glue they give you is terrible, and putting it together is a joke. To put the house together, I finally got out some small nails and a hammer. I would have returned it, but it was a gift for my son's aunt, and we didn't have time to place another order. I also had to go to the store and buy more paint because what they have is insufficient.
One suggestion is to use glue to adhere all of the. Excellent craftsmanship. Before painting, it's a good idea to glue all of the pieces together. This makes it a little easier for kids to paint the cars. Also, gluing it the night before saves the kids the trouble of having to wait for the glue to dry before they can start. br>Paint dries quickly, and a dab of wood glue on the axels of the wheels adds an extra layer of protection. These seem like they'll last a long time.
