This was our first attempt at a colored set, and it's a complete disaster! It crumbles and sticks to everything, and after ten minutes of play, we had lost most of the sand and it was covered in hair (see one of my photos for a hairy cone)! I didn't bother with getting out brown because I could only imagine how gross that would look all mixed up because a tiny bit of the white got into the pink and once the colors touch, there's no going back. The toppings are a major choking hazard for any child who enjoys putting things in their mouth, and it was the first thing my child did. This stuff clings to your hand and isn't easy to remove (see photos for more information). This set is better suited to teenagers or adults, and while I could see it being entertaining (hence the lack of stars), I doubt it would last long. This is not a toy for toddlers or parents, and it is a waste of money because you will not get much enjoyment from it. If you're looking for a sand set for a younger child, stick to the regular brown sand sets from the same brand.

This is the first time in 21 years that I have given a one-star review on Amazon. This product has an extremely unpleasant odor to it. It will make you want to vomit, and I believe that some vomit would help to mask the odor. The vanilla smells like vanilla musk from a 1980s dollar store perfume! The chocolate smells vaguely of chocolate, but more like carob and hot dogs burped up together. The strawberry was the most tolerable, with a strong plastic-like strawberry aroma. They were an olfactory train wreck abomination when they were mixed together. The toys were fine in and of themselves. If you can plug your nose and play for ten minutes, you'll have a great time. Is this what they mean when they say "plug and play"? I left the sand outside for THREE DAYS before storing it for a week in the dining room. My husband claimed to be able to smell it from three rooms away. It was a step forward when the dog pooped in the living room. I had no choice but to toss the sand in the trash. I wouldn't put it in a litter box, much less a kid's toy! You have been forewarned of this danger.

The smell is far too strong and artificial, as other reviewers have stated. It has a chemical smell to it and isn't particularly sweet. Except for this, my daughter has no sensitive skin or allergies. Because of the sand's strong odor, her eyes became red, watery, and itchy. To get her eyes to stop itching, I had to give her a full bath. She doesn't have any problems with regular kinetic sand, but these scented ones are dangerous. This is a product that I cannot recommend in any way.

It's impossible to ignore the smell. I'm not sure if the bag was ripped before opening, but it dried faster than in-store purchases. Personally, I was taken aback by the overwhelming odor. The next time I buy something, I'll go to the store.

UH UH! We were floored when we first opened it because it smelled like the worst perfumey, fake I- don't- know- WHATEVER IT WAS, IT WASN'T ICE CREAM TREATS! We were extremely fortunate in that we received TWO boxes (0. o) It gave our whole family terrible headaches and caused the youngest to vomit! The kids tried airing it out and even playing with it outside, but the stench was still unbearable. When I tried to play with them, I got a rash on my hands! That has never been done before by any Kinetic Sand. This scent clung to everything and took days to remove from the house, as well as several washings to remove from the children's hands and clothing. My hand felt much better after a few days of using hydrocortisone cream. It was a complete waste of time, effort, and funds. This is something I would never give to a foe. We'll never buy anything scented from Kinetic Sand again, and we threw both boxes away.
