As soon as she comes home from school, my daughter loves to do her own "homework. " Doodling, doing math problems, and writing stories are her favorite activities, but I am not able to handle the amount of paper we use. The blank sheet made it easy for her to doodle, sketch, and use the white crayons for whatever she wants, and it's still in use. She pointed out to me that the colors are not as bright and that it isn't quite the same as drawing on a dry erase board. You are essentially using dry erase markers on a sheet of clear plastic and it doesn't look the same as it would on a board. There is a little bit more opaqueness (line draws are kind of see-through, it doesn't seem as thick, and the colors don't pop like the lines do on a standard dry erase board), and the colors do not stand out as well. It's absolutely essential for anyone taking a long car trip to have access to an activity center. The only cons are that it comes with its own set of cons.
