I was a bit hesitant to get it because other reviews claimed the alphabet was typographically incorrect, but it worked for me. You can choose from 3 different kinds of pens to use, and the best part is that each type comes with two of each so if you lose one it isn't My two children do not have to fight over the same pen, which is also a plus. Since it's just water, I don't have to worry about my carpet getting ruined. As a mom, I enjoy it the most because I don't have to clean up the mess.

I have two kids aged 2 and 8. These mats are a favorite drawing surface for both of them. Upon receiving the package, it was opened immediately, and they have used it every day since then. During the first day, all the stencils and tools seemed to excite them, but as time went on, most of the tools they did not use brushes or pens. While I cannot deny that I was a little disappointed that I was able to see through the top layer after it dried, it's not for me, and none of the kids seem to mind! I've always liked this thing because I can just bring it out at the hotel or wherever and I get a mat, drawing board, and a bunch of little extras (stencils, foam figures, and a little book) right there. Most of the time, the adults are the ones who end up drawing more than the kids are. Oh, ha! The bag folds into itself and fits easily However it is important to mention that because the mat is folded, it is deteriorating from the creases it gets after being folded for some time. Additionally, if you spill water from the pens for a very long time, the stain stays for a long time. If the pens are not in use, be sure not to let them sit on the mat.

My granddaughter received this for her 3rd birthday, and not knowing exactly what it was going to be like, I was pleasantly surprised when I handed it to her, we opened up the box, and she immediately began I couldn't believe it was so easy when I realized that all I needed to do was fill the little Magic Pens with water and give them to her. My excitement was further heightened when I saw that I was drawing pictures like an artist, and I cannot draw! When I knelt down to use the Magic Pens myself, I saw that I was drawing pictures just like an artist! In the mat are hidden pictures, and when the picture is wet with the Magic Pen, it appears as if by magic. Also in the center there is a blank space where you can free draw whatever you like. Additionally, it features an edge with printed letters so that you can use the Magic Pen to make them appear. This way, you are writing the I can't get over how wonderful it is! At 70 years old, I did not want to stop playing with it. It was such a great experience! In my mind I would love to return it for a refund, but my son loves it too much and doesn't know anything about the It still has parts missing and holes in the white pad part, as well as lines that still need to be smoothed out. My 18 months old loves the product, too. I bought one for my sister-in-law, who has an 18 month old child as well. I really enjoyed it. It is just the alphabet that is a problem. This appears to be an s instead of an x. However, it still poses a problem even though it has little impact on the product.
