The name of the product is deceptive. For over $4, it says "8 count," which refers to the number of colors in one tin. At Walmart, I can get a tin for fifty cents. So I only got one package of paints, when I could have gotten ten of these exact containers for the same price, and the paint set I got was in poor condition. It appeared to have been on a shelf for quite some time and had been tossed around quite a bit. I was trying to save money on school supplies for my kindergartener, but now I have to go out and buy some more.
WHEN TWO INDIVIDUALLY ARE ONLY $4! FOR ALMOST $8! ADDITIONALLY, IT IS NOT RETURNABLE! THERE'S AN ANGRY CUSTOMER IN THE ROOM.
The product itself is fine, but the description is inaccurate. This is one count, despite the fact that it says eight. Why would I pay over $4 for a single count when I can get them on sale at Walmart for about 50 cents? These are the most expensive water colors I've ever bought for a toddler.
I found some old watercolors, and my four-year-old seems to have developed an interest in painting, so I needed more paint for her, but I didn't want to spend a fortune. She's four years old, as I previously stated. The painting is good, but it's only a four. Because she was going to run through the paint, I needed something worth the money but not too expensive. This is EXACTLY what I was looking for. Especially for the price, I purchased five at once. There is a good amount of paint on the walls. Colors are divided into eight categories. There was even a brush. It's only been three days, and she's still on the first pack despite doing nothing for paint on and off throughout the day. My only regret is that I did not purchase an additional five. That's exactly what I'll be doing in the next few days.
I placed two orders. I've used cheap watercolors with kids before that worked fine, and I'm not new to this brand, but this is the WORST paint I've ever used in my 30 years of painting. Within 5 minutes of the first use, the bristles of both sets of brushes were on the paper. Both paintings (a canvas was squandered! ) appeared to have rolled over the picture, leaving all of its hair on them, as if it had been rolled over by a sick cat. Furthermore, the "washable" paint did not wash away from my child's hands. THE QUALITY IS HORRIBLE! When I tried to get a refund, they told me that this item was not eligible for a refund! br>br>This item is NOT something I would recommend!.
The paint is very easy to use, and because each color is shaped in a square rather than an oval (as with most waterpaints), the middle of the square does not get used up right away. (In an oval/round paint, the paint brush always scapes at whatever pools in the middle, leaving an empty middle and pushing the paint toward the inner rim of each oval/circle, making it less accessible. ) So, the square-shaped 'paint-brush' is my favorite part of this paont set. spots'. The colors are vibrant, and the product itself is excellent.
I ordered another set of Crayola's washable water colors because my family already has a few sets and loves the bright, vibrant colors, and I want my kids to have this paint on hand to be creative with at all times. Not only do we homeschool four children, so we have a lot of art supplies, but we all enjoy making a mess with paint. As a family, we frequently have painting nights where we use a variety of paints. If it's just my husband and I and the older kids, we'll use acrylics, but we all love these paints! They're simple to use and enjoyable to use. I don't recall liking it as a kid, but I do now!.
Given how inexpensive it was, I was surprised at how well-made this paint set was. The set includes a wide range of colors as well as ample paint for each of them. The brush is thick, heavy, and sturdy, far superior to the cheap plastic paint brushes found in many other paint kits. I don't bother wiping down my daughter's paint set after she uses it because she's only two, but you could if you wanted to. The plastic lid snaps shut easily, but it's secure enough that she won't be able to open it.
