Questions & Answers

A lot of recent reviews mention that the squares on the tiles do not line up when laid out. Has this been fixed/will it ?

Neither my set nor my set (April 2021) have an issue.

Which type of marker do you prefer for these? Wet or dry erase? Is it easier to clean off completely one of the two?

Those who use dry erase are easier to clean, while those who use wet erase will not scrape their boards.

Has anyone else received a car part instead of a car?

This is not an experience I can relate to.

Can you tell me how the current QA on these is? They sometimes appear scratched, dented, and ripped in reviews from the current year. ?

I received a package that was in perfect condition. Both the box and the items that were inside were Inside the box, has everything was nicely packed so that nothing would be moving around.

Selected User Reviews For The Master's Atlas (Blank/Parchment) | 44 Reversible Dry & Wet Erase Map Grid Tiles | 48 Dungeon Object Tokens: Treasure, Doors, Stairs and More | RPG Tabletop Role Playing Mat for Fantasy Gaming

It is a great idea, but the quality control is poor, so it is It would be great if I loved this set and I love the idea, as well as the durability, thickness, and finish coating on the tiles, but about a quarter of the pieces were dented or of uneven thickness or cut poorly and were offset from the grid, which is just When I am given something like this, should I expect the cuts to be perfect? Ok, well
3/5

Yes, of course. It's kind of like that. This is a measured grid, and the cutting errors make everything look terrible (and throw our measurements off). While I plan on continuing to use the set, I won't be purchasing another or third set like I originally planned.

The quality control was poor, even though the concept was great
3/5

As I read the reviews warning about the quality of the product, I went into this expecting some line issues and light peeling of the dry erase coating- but I was pleasantly surprised. I found it to be just what I had In some cases, the dry erase finish has peeled off the edges or corners of the squares, and I may take the time to tape the edges on all the pieces to prevent them from peeling more. Until I saw seven pieces of dirty pottery, I was not expecting that at all! There is either something wrong with QA hands, or the printer that was used to print the lines is of low quality and does not print properly. My only option for getting the dirty film off the tiles was to scrub them down to the bare earth. In my opinion, if these elements were all of a solid build quality, it would be a "go to" and "must" for every D&D enthusiast Storytellers are people who tell stories. even as it stands, I think the idea is a good one- The quality control is poor and there are few resources available.

This is a game changer
5/5

I really like these. If you are one of the reviewers who gave a bad review, thank you Big whoop dee doo to the tiles for not having all the corners perfectly turned. Despite the fact that they don't always line up 100%, they are easy to lay out. The game ends when the last room is revealed. Alternatively, you can draw the dungeon map on graph paper for later reference, then lay out the tiles during the game as the It will keep them from sliding around the table too much if they are covered in sticky tack. Thank you for selling these to me. I am very pleased with them.

There is no such thing as It is incredible how well these little tiles are made, so I definitely plan on replacing all of my dry erase maps
5/5

If you connect nine of them, all of the squares on the map will show up, or you can connect many squares with the extended rectangles to simulate a town, dungeon, bridge, rivers, etc. The ink doesn't bleed through the paper, so unlike many maps, these are like a marker board, so you don't even need water to clean them.

This is an excellent place to start
4/5

It can be challenging to fit a vinyl mat onto a table that is small and probably costs $50. There are a lot of tiles, and you can mix and match the colors and shapes to build a scenario for example, creating a dungeon while the players explore (the best part). This being said, let me just say. . discovered that some of the tiles are a bit hard to clean. A couple of blue smudges remain on the white side of the tiles despite my best efforts. The tan side of these tiles needs to be marked with a brown marker, and there is no issue with smudges (I just use the tan side). However, for $20 you can't go wrong. This is the best way to see if this is something you like if you are just getting started and want to see if it's something you like. (I saw a review saying that the squares aren't lined up, but this was designed so that the tiles are all directly in line.

Good to go! Do you know where all the products like this are? Do you know that you can get both the easy to arrange tiles AND the tokens for a lower price than most other similar products? The answer to this question is obvious
5/5

Exactly why there isn't more of this kind of product is something I'm confused by. Even if I tried to buy environmental or furniture tokens on their own, they came really close to this price, and that's only with a small amount of tokens, no tiles or mats, and there aren't that many options. Whether or not there is a small defect in this product, it is undoubtedly an excellent product. There absolutely must be more products like this available.

Are you sure it's not dry erase? For the most part, these are pretty good They looked great out of the box without dirt, marks, bends, or anything else, and they're considerably thicker and more durable than I could have imagined
3/5

In this case, placing a cardboard stopper in it to prevent the tiles from sliding all over makes the box a good storage container. But despite that. I know nothing about dry erase materials, but these do not behave like any dry erase I am The marks remained on my screen for barely half an hour before I was unable to remove them. In the picture you can see how much of the mark is left over Only after scrubbing the hell out of them could I do that much! realize that it is possible for dry erase boards to be "staind" by too long of contact with the surface, however. Would you mind waiting just thirty minutes? I couldn't imagine using these for a tabletop RPG session in that amount of time. The bins are advertised as being 'dry-clean only', but I suppose I could just break out the alcohol for the cleaning I have erased your data After such a small amount of usage, I shouldn't need to reset the password. As a result, they are useless for my purposes, and I will be returning them. It would be highly recommended to use these only for wet erasable marks It's been many years since I tried dry erase, so I am not sure how they'd perform in that realm, but in general their dry erase performance is typical, unless you are fond of.

I like it for maps that are larger
5/5

It would have been nice if it had been shaped differently additional prop pieces to decorate the map are too big (doors take up 2x2 squares, stairs are bigger than 1x1, and tables are 2x3, so I've had to use fallen logs to represent tables in some cases). I do have to be careful to not get the edges of these tiles wet with my whiteboard cleaning chemicals as they would warp the tile if I did.

But for the price and versatility these give you (less than $20), I would definitely recommend them. In the event that these wear out in the near future, I would not hesitate to return and buy The product is portable and very portable, and it is very effective at erasing.
