It should be just fine if you have kid bikes through it. It is durable enough for kids and hasn't broken down. If you don't want to scratch your rims, I suggest you reinforce the rubber on the hooks. Using the product for only a month exposed them to the hazards.

There must be a way to reduce the chances of the hooks moving when placing or removing a bike. Also, the hooks are a bit shallow so if you have deep road wheels or a MTB, it's not ideal to get in them. With a longer shafted hook, this would not have been impossible, but would have reduced the damage.
The bike rack is exactly what we needed for our bikes. As of now, it has proven to be durable. The bike rack will hold 6 bikes but it does not have enough room for the helmets - there would need to be another wall mount plate for the helmets to fit.
