We live on the beach in a tourist area, so having a reliable surveillance system is essential; otherwise, we'd never know how many incidents affecting our property occurred. However, keeping these cameras in good working order took some effort, especially because they were wire-type cameras. I prefer these because I had another set of wireless (IP cameras) that worked fine but were less reliable and durable than the wired versions. br>br>The problem is that when one of the cameras goes off, I have to test it, and now that I have this Wsdcam Camera Tester, my job has become a lot easier. It's particularly appealing because it comes with a replaceable and rechargeable battery and allows me to plug the camera into the monitor tester directly. This is useful for both testing and previewing the camera angle that will be used. As a result, installing cameras has become a lot easier. br>br>I also like that this monitor works with both of our DVR recorders. BNC connectors and a VGA output display are found on the oldest and most reliable set. And if I ever need to test the main monitor, I'll use this tester. A HMDI output is also available on the new DVR. This tester monitor works with both of them. When the problem was simply a faulty cable, I used to spend a lot of time reconfiguring components. As a result of this tester, I am able to work more efficiently, and the results thus far have been impressive. br>br>Network Cables I put a variety of UTP Ethernet network cables through their paces using RG-59 connectors. A network diagram, the speed of the cables, and whether or not they were defective or usable were all displayed on the device's screen, which had 45 connectors. This allowed me to figure out what kind of cable it was and whether it was in good working order or required repair or replacement. Compact battery-powered tester with rechargable lithium battery pack via USB cable. This device serves as a small display for VGA, HDMI, or BNC cameras (SDI and AHD) as well as video output devices, and it automatically detects the resolution. Although the display resolution is only 800x400, it can handle a full HD signal at 60 frames per second. The user interface is simple to use, and this small device has a lot of features, including the ability to use it as a Windows 10 display for setup and maintenance on headless PC systems. br>br>The cable tester is simple, but it has a nice graphical display that quickly shows if all wires are connected properly, which is useful when making or testing cables. When working in darker environments, there is a built-in light with two brightness levels that is fairly bright and eliminates the need for a separate flashlight in many cases. br>br>This tool includes a nice semi-card case as well as a few cables, but no HDMI or VGA cables. The device is intended to be used on the go and can sit on a table, but it is wobbly due to the battery pack on one side being deeper than the other. It's not a big deal; they followed Apple's lead and made it as thin as possible, despite the fact that it isn't symmetrical. br>br>Overall, this tester is simple to use, has adequate shock protection against drops, and is an excellent tool to have on hand for quickly testing various video signals and network cables. The battery lasts for more than 5 hours and can be used while it is being recharged. Apart from the lack of support for IP cameras, it has all of the features I require in a basic handheld display unit. It's of good quality, and I've had no problems with it.
