REVCO BLACK STALLION FR FLAME RESISTANT COTTON WORK SHIRT - FS7-KHK (Medium)

I'm 5'10", 195 pounds, and have a muscular build. After the first wash, I wore it for the first time. A large usually fits me perfectly, with plenty of room for growth. I ordered a large, which fit well in the body but could have been 1-inch shorter in the sleeves. Shoulders that are 2" longer or wider across the back The buttons on the shirt appear to be in good condition. They have a tendency to unbutton themselves far too easily. The fabric is stiff and not as soft as other flame retardant shirts I own, such as Carhart. I'm a welder, so it goes without saying that I prefer to be at ease. I was hoping this shirt would be a hit so I could order more, but I'm not sure I'll do so. If it softens up and becomes less stiff over time, I will update my review. The patch on the shoulder adds a cool touch to the overall look. However, the sleeves should be a little longer to match the body, which is already quite long. I've never had this problem with any of the other shirts I've owned.

After catching an old cotton shirt on fire and having flames come up my side while grinding metal on an angle grinder, I decided I needed a flame retardant shirt. However, I live in the south and am a hot-tempered individual, so I was hoping to find a light-weight shirt that was also flame retardant for welding. I can't say whether or not this shirt is flame resistant, but it does get quite warm when worn. It's certainly not as bad as catching fire, but it's not something I can wear for long periods of time in even moderate heat; I do most of my work in my unconditioned basement, where the summer temperature hovers around 80 degrees, and even at that relatively low temperature, this shirt is too heavy for me. It's also a little stiff and scratchy, but that should go away after a few washes.

It's a great shirt because it's thick and durable. So far, it's held up its end of the bargain, and I've put it to the test. I wish I had purchased a size larger because it did shrink after several washes.

I can put on another light-weight shirt now. This shirt is extremely comfortable and fits perfectly. Underneath, I can wear a light-weight shirt. The sleeves aren't too baggy, so they won't get in the way of my welding. It isn't too heavy or difficult to work in. I'm not sure how flame resistant it is; hopefully, I won't have to learn the hard way. This "jacket" comes highly recommended. I like this welding "coat" a lot better than the other one I have.

I washed it three times before wearing it because it was stiff and ran a little large when I first got it. So far, so good; the snap buttons appear to be a little flimsy, but if they hold up, I'd buy this shirt again.

It does wrinkle easily, as stated by a previous reviewer. I've been hanging this to dry, and it's wrinkle-free and stiff as if it just came out of the package. I'll be purchasing more in the future!.

I'm 5'10" tall. If you're 10" and weigh 200 pounds, a dress shirt with a neck size of 16 to 16-1/2" will fit you perfectly. 1/2. A large was purchased by me. The sleeve openings are large enough to accommodate a medium-sized watch and are adjustable with snap closures. The sleeves reach just above the first joint of the thumb. Even with arms extended and reaching overhead, there is plenty of room in the back. When bending over, the shirt is slightly longer than usual to keep it tucked in. Because I've only worn it twice, I didn't give it a rating for durability. The stitching is of excellent quality. I anticipate this shirt lasting a long time, and now that I've seen and worn it, I'll be purchasing another one.
