A woman who normally wears a medium size will fit perfectly in a large. I'm 5. It's 5' long and reaches just below my knees, which is good. The material is adequate for the price; however, the hood is too short to provide adequate rain protection. That's unfortunate because it would otherwise be the ideal raincoat.
