Yes, there is one tie at the neck and the back is completely open. It also includes a "belt" that can be overlapping and tied around the waist.

MY ITEM is not the color on the picture; I purchased it because it appears to be a mint green gown on the display picture, but it is actually a darker green gown that has nothing to do with my design. I'm disappointed because I wanted everything in my studio to match, and this isn't what I had expected.
