It is undoubtedly the best civilian CBRN mask and filter combination you can buy
5/5

As an Army combat veteran whose four tours of duty in Iraq were spent in Iraq, I am a little addicted to gas masks. These are some of the items I own within my collection This is

- Mira Safety Computerized Monitoring System- Six million dollars. Mira Safety Computerized Monitoring System- The 7M*br+- IDR 4500* in Drager CDR - A dragon filled with x-ray vision Check out 6300
I have the Drager DHS 7000* - FPS has steadily declined from 7000 to - The 4A1 Israeli Civilian Mask - A M15 mask from the Israeli military - The Mestel SGE 150* - -Mestel SGE 400/3 - The Meestel SGE 400/3 BB*- This is the Russian version A Protective Mask for Men* - MIRA CM-50 Mask

I originally wrote a version of this review for the Drager mask I purchased and it got a lot of helpful votes, so I expanded on it and went into detail about the MIRA CM-50 Mask. I will talk about the other masks I own, followed by some background. There is a lot of variety in masks, so it's important to know what the mask will be used for and how much protection it will offer. In this comparison, we focus on CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear) applications. It is important to note that a gas mask is one component of CBRN PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). Aside from coveralls, gloves, boots, and chemtape to seal up seams, you will also need these items during a SHTF situation. As well as those, you would need decontamination agents such as FAST Act for equipment and RSDL for Keep in mind, as well that you should ensure the CBRN filter cartridges you purchase are suitable for usage. In order to be considered a CBRN filter, it should have a rating of "A2B2E2K2HgSXP3 D R Reactor". It is true that many filters exist that cover "A3B" and "F", but very few also cover "SX and Reactor". The MIRA NBC will neutralize radioactive iodine. The SX will be used for a few CWA’s. All the bases are covered by 77 SOF filters. Anyway, lets get started with This is

- MIRA Safety CM
This device is compliant with EN 136 CL3 standards for respiratory protection devices, as described below. The visor has a large field of view and a large array of features. The material used in this product is butyl rubber that meets the specifications required It contains a silicone anti-fogging inner mask for improved comfort, and it's hypoallergenic as well. A speech diaphragm comes standard with this product. All units feature a pre-installed anti-theft device An external canteen and a drinking system have been installed. This water bladder has been designed and tested to work A standard 40mm filter cartridge can fit in this unit, which is Up to two filter cartridges can be used simultaneously, greatly increasing the filter change interval, as well as making it easier for people with smaller lung capacities (kids) to breathe while working out. They can be shipped worldwide without any paperwork because they are produced in Europe. Governments in Europe and the Middle East use them. This means that they are not ITAR or EAR controlled so that they can be shipped to friends and family overseas without any strings attached. It will remain fresh for PROS Has a slight rubber smell. Cons Has a slight rubber smell. As fair as it is, all the butyl masks I own also smell like rubber, but I thought I'd mention it just in case someone reading is extremely sensitive to it. Since the mask is not NIOSH CBRN Approved, it would limit professional use in the US (Most government agencies require NIOSH CBRN approval of respiratory devices as part of OSHA standards if the mask is used as part of This certification is definitely a great thing to have, but it does not indicate quality, just that the device passed a series of internal tests here in the United States. Please be patient. - MIRA Safety CM The CM-style is very similar It is based on 6M, but is made for tactical applications and for The mask currently worn by the Czech military can be seen here. In addition to the recessed visors, there are 2 additional visors that offer better optical relief I have been testing Drager CDR 4500 since 2003. I have now designated this mask as a backup preparedness mask to use in case my CM-39 fails It uses the DHS 7000 and the 6M. Having no drinking system led me to try other options. Gas masks tend to be stuffy, and taking off the mask to drink water may not be possible while you're getting out of dodge. The Drager Detailed at 6300 While there is a small difference in the colors of this mask, the mask structure is identical to the CDR 4500. As the rubber on this mask is not NIOSH approved, this mask is not CBRN compliant. In spite of this, it has been designated by NIOSH as an agent that can prevent many gasses, A CE 136 CL 2 certification has been obtained for this mask. DHS 7000 Drager There are very few masks I own that compare to this one - it is extremely difficult to find and prohibitively expensive. It is my favorite one from all that I own I got one that was used for $500 and there are new ones for around It can be used in one of three ways It can be an RD40 filter, a PAPR, or a SCBA system. Buy one if you are able to find it and you have the cash. Although it may seem overkill for basic CBRN preparation, it is definitely not. I am using a Drager Mask that is EN 136 CL2 approved, but it is not intended to protect against CBRN agents, and it can only be used with an Emergency Breathing System. I just downloaded the 4A1 Israeli civillian mask, and I can see this You can pick these up for under $30 primarily in surplus stores. As a result of the size of the visors, one for each eye, visibility is poor. It is very common to see people in Israel wearing these masks during emergency. I am sure it has saved a few lives over the years, but I have no confidence in it considering they are surplus and could have been sitting around for more than 20 A CBRN-rated mask cannot be worn with this mask. You should also not use the supplied filter because most are well past their expiration date. A picture of an Israeli Military M15 mask The specs are similar to the 4A1, but the visors are larger. The life of these batteries is 20 years, so keep that in mind if you're planning to buy them. Three of the five M15 surplus masks I've owned in the past had damaged valves, so I returned them. Despite their resistance to some warfare agents, these masks aren't effective against all. You can read more about the specs on the spec sheet. Meestel SGE 150 It looks great, but is not intended for use in CBRN environments in any way. There is no coating on the visor against chemical irritants, and it is not certified for that purpose. In riots and tear gas situations, this would be used mostly as a defense. A reminder of the first set of Ethernet connectors, the Modular GE This is the same as SGE 150, except it has three instead of one filter port. There are also a few optional accessories for this mask. The retail price of the device is around $200, and it can cost as much as $400 when fully loaded with accessories (speech diaphragm, drinking module, canteen, etc. ). Depending on whether you want the extra accessories, you need to either pre-order them or buy them separately You can either install it on your own or have it professionally installed at the factory, which would When caught up in a riot, this mask blocks tear gas very well but it is not intended for use with CBRN equipment. The following is the metadata for the Mescalel The SGE 400/3 is the same as the SGE 400/3 except for a rubbery butyl seal that meets material specifications for CBRN uses The Russian/German The following can be used to protect the face Masks such as this are outdated and are not fit to protect against CBRN threats. You can use it only as a costume for Halloween. This is what Avon M50 has to say A quality piece of equipment, the current military issue mask is issued to the US military. Despite these caveats, there are some important things to keep in mind. There are no M61 filters available for the M50, which is due to its proprietary design Avon only sells these masks and accessories to the military, so 99% of the filters are no longer in service. It is also a general rule that the military discards M50s that are defective or expired, so I would highly recommend purchasing if you can get one packaged tightly with an accompanying In the opinion of one another reviewer, if the valves on your M50 are clear, then the mask is defective. As long as you get a sealed mask with unexpired filters and functional values, it can be used It is also important to note that these products are also ITAR-regulated and cannot be exported from The conclusion is It is my opinion that the MIRA CM-155 looks superior to the CM-156 With the MIRA NBC-6000 gas mask, you can protect yourself from the gas When it comes to CBRN masks, the 77 SOF filter gives the best value for the price. The device is used by the United Nations in the protection of government officials throughout the Middle East and Europe and meets the requirements for protecting against CBRN threats. It includes a canteen, a drinking module, and a speech diaphragm for communication. This mask can be seen through the large visor, and the inner mask keeps it from fogging up. In addition to the mask, the filters also have a 20-day manufacturer's warranty It expires in one year, which is better than the standard six years Usually, filters are good for 1 year after removing water from the filter. With all accessories, the comparable mask from Drager (DHS 7000) would cost you *$750, the one from Mestel (SGE 400/3 BB with Infinity Drinking System) would cost *$400, and the Avon M50 mask would cost you *$600. In consideration of the massive savings this mask offers without compromising on quality, it is my top choice for preparedness on a budget. Thank you! I hope this helped!.

As a law enforcement officer in Southern California, I need to be prepared for anything that may come my way. As one of the only true CBRN filters available to the civilian market, I bought a set of these filters. There are two of them, and each is rated for A2B2E2K2HgSXP3 D R with a Reactor element. A letter indicates a different class of contaminants, and the numbers next to it indicate what concentrations each element is capable of handling. Attached you will find some pictures that will help you understand. The filters have never been used yet, and I hope they stay in my patrol car for the 20 years they're supposed to last The shelf life of this product is at least one year. have to be deployed, it would be nice to have a product that covers everything instead of just a few different types of.

Mask that covers all of the face
5/5

It was great to help with smoke during wildfires in California! Visits to relatives in California enabled us to use it together as a family. So much smoke was being blown around that it was nearly I purchased this mask for my son who is 10 years old and it fits him perfectly. I was able to get it working after combining Mira filters. Despite its reusable nature, it is made of bromobytul rubber, which is an extremely rare component of A great surprise is that it is also enrolled in cbrn and the filters have a lifespan of 20 years.

You have 20 years until your expiration date! It is a bit more expensive to buy these gas mask filters, but they last longer and are classified as The cost of a standard filter cartridge averages $55 and lasts for six years

I would have had to spend over $150. 00 to keep them fresh and up to date over the past 20 years.

A SAFETY GAS MASK manufactured by Mira
5/5

The gas mask you are holding is amazing. These Israeli air filters fit well and function properly to keep you breathing. Camelbak's hose adapter can be connected to my water hydration vest by means of the Camelbak water bladder. The drinking tube will allow me to drink water. It is either a lens or windshield that is on the visor. In spite of what the instructions and the box state, the screen does not fog up. The first time I wore it was outside In addition to that, it works perfectly, perfectly, the way it should, but before using it outside, I tested it on my head There was an adjustment to be made to the head harness straps. The helmet fits perfectly on my face and rests well on the rest of my head. The beard and handle bar moustache adhere to the chin, but it fits even with long sideburns and long sideburns. The distance between it and the wall is pretty close. I can wear my glasses with it and it fits nicely on my face. As for the canteen, I use it only as a water bottle inside our house. Having said that, let's sum it up. Despite the fact that it is very thick, I find this mask to be very comfortable. In comparison with my other two gas masks made by SJL and 3M, my MIRA gas mask is much more effective. On those two, I have to spray anti-fog spray on both visors, so that the lenses will not There are times when they do and times when they don't. As long as I inhale through my nose and exhale through my mouth, I can breathe normally. As a result, my SJL and 3M gas masks have been permanently stored away and will never be used As a result, from now on only use MIRA gas masks. MIRA GAS MASK is a product I strongly recommend to every person in the world. This pandemic calls for the use of the internet. Lastly, this is what I have to say. In my opinion, the MIRA GAS MASK deserves an A-.

While this is easily the most comfortable mask I have ever worn, in that it does not cause heat spots or pressure points on my head, nor do it have quick releases on the elastic straps, nor does the curved or poor quality of the clear plastic face plate distort my A garment that should not be worn if precision is key
3/5

I highly recommend this mask for dust or fumes that are very high.
