If you change your filter every so often, when should you do it?

It will become hard to breathe through the HEPA filter as it becomes clogged. When the chemical filter part begins to open, odors will start to pass through. If the chemical portion of the mask is working, it will smell like a bottle of fragrant window cleaner or fingernail polish when held near an open bottle. The filter functions can only be tested by crude tests, but that's the best I've got.

Are you able to spray paint with this?

In short, yes. Aerosols and particles are collected by the HEPA part of the filtration system, while fumes are extracted by the carbon part. It is still best to attempt to breathe in as little aerosol and particle/fume contamination as possible, since HEPA and carbon filters are finite. What an incredible thing to see. The first time I have ever used products with high VOC ratings and did not smell anything. It had been too long since I had taken on a project because I was afraid of the headaches it would cause. It was comfortable and fit well without feeling as though it was sucking my face into the mask. The half masks from Honeywell and the 7870 were both used in conjunction with this one. They are not the cheapest, but I felt their value outweighed the risk from a small accident.

One of the problems I had with the single P100 cans contained an unpleasant glue smell. That has fixed the problem for me. Although the size and weight increase with these combo cans has not bothered me in the least.

Exactly what it needs to do

It was an unfortunate fate for the creature that died in my basement wall. There was no sign of it, and the smell was unbearable to the point that I began feeling nauseous when looking for the car through the basement. As a result of having time off, I decided to hang shelves before the smell set in. The mask did its job perfectly for me. For several hours at a time, I was able to use it without experiencing any problems. I cleaned the filters on the outside and filed them for use in the future. I love it!.

It fits a mask I have owned for 20 years

I am very happy with how well it works. As long as the filters fit my old mask, I can replace the mask. I know this is a bit more waste, but they work great. The original filter had replaceable paper filters, but these are the total filters, so it's quite a bit more waste.
