A filter's date of manufacture is stamped on it. They don't know what to do. If the date on the package and the date on the filter are both the expiration dates, then there is a problem. The truth is, they aren't. You can see in my picture that the package date corresponds to the expiration date, whereas the filter date corresponds to the manufacture date. As I mentioned earlier, I touched base this morning with 3M technical support. Considering I wasn't able to find any confirmation regarding what the date on the filters on the actual product really stood for, I had to call. To the left there is a field called "Fab" which I assume refers to date of fabrication. However, I could not find any evidence to back this up. The cartridges work just fine, but I am removing one star for two reasons. I just used them to spray paint, and they are perfect for the job. We have first to deal with the confusion surrounding In my conversation with the 3M representative, I told him it would be better to make clear the dates. Second, my filters came in a package with pinholes in them. As I squeezed the package, I could literally feel air going into and out of the holes. During the phone call with the rep, he mentioned that if the filters were to be stored for a long time, then yes, those holes would cause issues. In contrast, my new filters aren't likely to be affected by outside air exposure if they were recently manufactured (mine were) and I planned to use them now. Please try to read my review carefully so that it is helpful and eliminates the confusion created by other reviews.

There seems to be a scam going I got the first set of results with an expiration date of 2025 for FILTER. This is good. I buy another set a couple of months later and it says 2025 on the package as well. There is an expiration date of 5/2020 on FILTER. A replacement order has been placed. ON PACKAGE ITS YEAR IS LISTED AS 2025, ON FILTER ITS LISTED AS 8/2020, EXPIRED. There is no doubt someone is repackaging expired 3M filters with false expiration dates on their packaging.

The spray works most of the time. Since I use enamel spray paint a lot (don't call the police, I am not a tagger) I do not notice any This clip-on device is easy to use and doesn't require any installation. There are plastic guards that clip onto the filter that you can purchase to protect Only one of them was purchased because I did not understand how they worked- Essentially, this part of the filter is used to protect the main part of the filter and direct air through it. It isn't clear to me why it is necessary. The products made by 3M are great, even though I have no relationship with them. This is P. A variety of filters are available to protect you from different chemicals and odors. Take advantage of this free service to save yourself a lot of pain in the future.

I think the description needs to be changed on this or maybe I got a faulty Even when I use this cartridge and my 3m half mask, I still smell the paint. It seems that I was able to solve the problem by purchasing a different set of filters. As a close second, I used a cheap China made gas mask I bought for 3 dollars (I'm in the Philippines now) and that was just as good as the one I used. While it's not as comfortable as the 3m for long periods of time but is still adequate for use for up to 2 hours.

I ordered 2 sizes, both shipped extremely fast, even with the virus delays, and both were undamaged when they arrived.
I don't have a complaint about these no longer being available, it is understandable and hoped it will be temporary only.
