Product Description

The NIOSH approved product can be used in environments with oil-based particles as well as non-oil-based There are also mining, shipbuilding, abatement, and utilities in these industries. Organic vapors have been recommended by 3M as a measure of relief.
3M Gas Vapor Cartridges 6000 Series (with Adapter 502), which can be used with 3M Half Facepiece 6000 or Full Facepiece 6000, FF300 or 7800S.
As a result, these cartridge/filters can significantly reduce exposures to certain airborne biological particles (e.g., Mold, Bacillus anthracis, avian influenza, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, etc.) but can't prevent a person from getting sick or contracted an infection.
3M's Advanced Electret Filter Media of 3 layers of filtration efficiently captures particles compared to traditional filters that have 5 layers of filtration. While offering protection at the same level as more layers, fewer layers make it easier to breathe.
The netting construction technology makes the filter more lasting since it offers increased durability.
BYPASS BY TWISTING ON OR OFF For fast assembly and disassembly with many 3M half and full facepiece designs, the bayonet connection twists on and off easily.
The item may only be used in an industrial or professional environment. We do not sell or use our products for consumer consumption.

Questions & Answers

Are the filters for welding P100/2097 better than those that are standard? When I weld old steel, the vapors are itchy to my throat and feel like I have a cold?

The answer is yes. In addition to getting some fume extraction underway, as others have said, it is best to get some sort of fan A pump that pulls 800 cfm for less than $100 is what I built. You will find on Amazon the parts that you need to build a good cheap system to protect yourself if you are getting symptoms. There are many cheaper fans that are designed to deal with weed and lots of flexible ducting available in the weed industry. My fan cost about 70 bucks and 25' of ducting cost about 20 bucks. You need screws, clips, and vent covers to finish the job for less than All of it can be found on Amazon. Garage welding (garagewelding)

Can this filter be reused after its shelf life has expired? The left-overs will be used up along with what I intend to buy in the future. ?

I'm sure there is, but I don't know what it is. In comparison with pink 2097 filters, it lasts longer by 2 or 3 times as long. Weld fumes were present in my welding shop while I was using it Grabbing particles and grinding them. There are spray paint fumes as well. There was very clean air for me to breathe. I hardly sneezed at all

A new filter is due soon, so when do you know it's time?

All they differ from each other is their really brown appearance. Through them, I can't smell any smoke or odors, and they still work fine. If you take the fibers off the center of the mask, you will find that they are still a clear, white color, so nothing is going As I looked up, I was afraid there was a hole somewhere, I thought they were going to crumble. I used them last night and would recommend them, but they are pretty beat up and floppy and still filter fine. I love these filters so much!

In how many cases are they How many total filters are there when there are two filters and two sets of two filters?

In all, 2 filters are used in 1 set. It is wrong for Bostonbrand to promote itself.

There is no reason to be miserable when you weld
5/5

A welding class at the college I attend is part of my curriculum. A trio of us stuck welded for 3 hours straight on our second class day. I looked in the mirror at the end of the class, and my face had a coating of soot, and I can't go into detail about what I sneezed out. The health risks of smoke are the same regardless of the type. Smoke and fumes from welding are especially hazardous. I felt like a dog, quite frankly. There was no doubt in my mind as to Throughout the evening I conducted as much research on face masks and respirators as I could. It seems that combining the 3m 2297 with the 3m 6503QL Quick release respirator is the best combination for use. It's amazing how much difference there is. Smoke or fumes are not noticeable when breathing through this combination respirator and filter. Wearing a respirator while welding may not be as fashionable, but I am pretty sure it will save your life in the long run. Medical bills and other expenses associated with breathing difficulties are also included. The stuff you breathe doesn't need to be inhaled. The premiums on this policy are among the cheapest you're ever going to pay. Under my helmet is a respirator/filter that is working just fine.

A great way to deal with the smoke from California wildfires
5/5

During wildfire season, I used to wear disposable N95 3M masks, but you are hard pressed to breath through them and the filters are not as effective as this mask. In the past three months, I've suffered severe asthma symptoms due to the wildfires burning in California, which have caused a ton of smoke to accumulate in my lungs. Thanks to this filter, my search was a lot easier. When the ozone levels were very high, as well as when the dust particles were flying around, I used it. When I wore these on my hands, I no longer coughed outside due to wildfire smoke. This is definitely better than disposable gloves if you have asthma due to the smoke. You should just remember that this does not produce oxygen, so if there is a fire, you should turn it on and run, since the fire will consume oxygen in the area!.

The air is easy to breathe
5/5

I use these lead casting bullets as recommended by 3M since they cut down on fumes and capture a 99 percent percent purge. Particulates make up 97% of the air. Those who wear them feel comfortable and are easy to breathe. That's better than cheap filters that shouldn't be used or aren't as safe as they are and feel like you are breathing through a straw.

With a P100 filter, there is no breathing labor
5/5

When I noticed how easy it was to breathe with these filters, I was surprised that they were rated P100. It took me a while to realize that my mask was leaky until I tested it A leak does not exist. It is possible to wear a respirator for the entire day without tracing your breath. It is simply the best P100 filter I have use until now from that point of view. From the point of view of an analyst, I can't comment on how well these filters work As you can see from their use, they appear to be capable of handling only clean air. I've used no smell with any of the filters I've used to date.

It's easier to breathe, not very sturdy, and doesn't get rid of a lot of vapor
3/5

For anyone who needs to use a P100 respirator with less restricted airflow, the 2297 is the best choice. In deciding to give this hotel 3 stars, I took into account my different needs and experiences. For allergy protection from wood smoke (creosote), welding fumes, fresh cut grass, and all other types of vapors, I use the 3M 2097 filters from 3M. Using the 2297 is a lot easier because it works less hard while inhaling. It does not seem to be a significant difference to me, however I have strong lungs as I ride my bicycle up and down mountains around It may make all the difference to an elderly person or someone with respiratory issues if they had the 2297. When presented with this situation, I believe that the 2297 is a wise investment. In addition, the 2297 is not as visible as the bright magenta 2097, which is one plus. While gardening with the 2097, which has that Hazmat / Meth Lab chic look, it is a pain to explain to the neighbors. In comparison to the 2097, the 2297 is nowhere as strong as it. If you frequently use your respirator, as I do every time I use it, and even more in hot, sweaty conditions, you must wash it frequently. It is just a matter of several remove and install cycles before these become limp. There is a possibility that this could result in the filter being ineffective. Having used the 2097 for many years, I can assure you that its longevity is far greater than 3M's recommendations. It is covered with a fine plastic mesh of magenta color on the outside. There is just enough protrusion between the ends of the mesh filaments and the edge of the filer to make wearing a hood frustrating. As the filaments catch on the fleece, the hood is dragged. There was a feeling that the 2297 provided less organic vapor relief than the 2276. Unlike a formal evaluation, this is rather subjective and hard to replicate. By cutting open the two filters, you can see that the 2297 has a thinner charcoal layer, but its construction appears to be different. As a general rule, I believe the 2297 provides adequate relief in most cases. It's critical that you buy a filter labeled "Organic Vapor Protection," not "Relief," if you're having an issue with organic vapors. Despite my negative comments about the 2297's breathing, it is worth evaluating regardless, as it may improve your productivity in some situations.

Those who are allergic to them will benefit from them The impact of toxic levels of smog or sanding dust can be devastating
5/5

I did my homework on this a few years back, and my memory isn't perfect, but here are my findings The ticket was purchased for a trip to India where the air pollution at ground level can be As you travel around the city in a rickshaw, filters with a minimal amount of pink will draw a little less attention than They are made for people with a little bit more work to do, and with a higher rate of respiration than the 2097's can handle. To be able to weld properly, you need to remove the fumes. Having an extra is a good thing. Under my welding helmet, I can't use filters with rigid plastic housings. They might work, but I use a different tool for welding instead of these There isn't very often that happens You may only use it for hobby purposes. I can't remember what the 3M site was like a few years ago, but it was inaccessible for information at that time. I hate the description for this product because it doesn't specify if it is for a pair of filters, or whether it is for just one filter. It is a mechanical sanding product that I need for sanding, but I won't be pleased if that same product appears as a single filter after I ordered a pair in the past.
