Questions & Answers
In the event the user will not be breathing organic fumes, this filter can be used in place of the 2097 filter. There is nothing special about this filter, it just filters dust, mold, and pollen which works great for allergy sufferers and people with asthma. As well as carbon or charcoal in the filter for fumes, in the 2097 filter there is charcoal. Having used both successfully, I can attest to their effectiveness.
A single filter is used for both. A "pack of two" is needed to operate the mask.
Your goal is to find corrosive gas and particulate carriers, as well as a full face respirator to go along with both of them. While the 6800 is a decent buy, if you wear glasses often or intend to use it frequently, the 7000 series full face model will offer better functionality. Both sets of glasses (spectical kit) are not interchangeable and set you back about 300 dollars, with 100 required for cutting lenses
Yes, I am. Because of this, these white p100 filters are only labeled for particle (or dust) filtering, while the pink p100s are only labeled for fume (or vapor) When I am outside working in the yard, I use the white ones to filter out pollen and dust, and when I am painting or spraying chemicals or welding, I use the pink ones.

The wildfires that burn in California every summer always make me cough terribly, even though none of the fires are burning near where I live. This is because of my sensitivity to smoke particles. The N95 masks are not meant to be used several times. This particulate filter is both necessary and welcomed. Breathing is made so much easier thanks to the larger surface area. While N95 masks would have me out of breath in a short while, these allow me to exercise when I used to be unable to do so with N95 masks. Knowing that I can exercise even in the presence of so much smoke has helped me so much. Does not seem to be able to handle everything. If I don't have these or (in my case an air filter running in the room) I cough my head off. Once I put these on and wear my mask, I scarcely cough. It would be great if you need a filter to remove the wildfire smoke particles (not the gas since that is different) or smog for example if you are in China.
For 3M's 6000/7000 series filter masks, this is their newest HEPA type filter. Also available from 3M is the 2091, which is the P100 filter, and a 2097 - the 4097 filter. As a result of the organic vapour levels absorption and the P100 filtering, a nuisance exists. This filter has quite a bit of influence on the amount of effort required to breath, which I like. In addition, I noticed that my mask was less moist. In my opinion, the new 2291 is a vast improvement over the 2091 It is worth the extra cost to get a filter that absorbs the nuisance organic vapors in the air. 3M has also now released a filter that combines the two capabilities - it should reduce the level of organic vapors. My next purchase will be the 2297, and I will also get some of these. As long as paint and varnish fumes are mild, the nuisance level absorption is sufficient. When I am exposed to heavier amounts of organic vapor, I use dedicated.
The router sled and bottom bit I used to level a 13-foot black Walnut Fitch were both donated to me. Those fine dust particles gathered into a messy mess. These filters allow breathing to become effortless when used with the 7502 mask, which is extremely comfortable. I cut the filters open because I was curious about what had happened and they were black. All the layers beyond were white as white can be despite the fine dust on the outside and outside of the first layer. I never felt any throat irritation from dust. As a result, I felt I owed a good review for these. This might be of use to you.
As I already had a good mask that uses these filters, I purchased them when I needed some new ones. With the mask on I have never had a problem breathing. Without it I almost ended up in the hospital after I was almost turned redwood, with it I have never had a problem breathing. A woodworker ought to have a mask that can be fitted with filters like these, which is separate from the mask. 99% of it is filtered by it. Over 97% of particles are inert There is not a mask I have found that performs better than a self enclosed oxygen unit, and I have researched a lot.
Dust masks do not work as well as this system. My glasses don't fog up, they don't make me cough, and I can breathe easier. Moreover, if they perform as described, they will be a lot more likely to work. They do, and there's good reason to believe that. My first set of cartridges came from Home Depot and were called 'paint mist' cartridges. I painted them with some spray paint, and they worked great. The cartridges are what I bought when I needed to remove asbestos from my heating vents. The old system can be maintained without buying a whole new one. All I have to do is replace the cartridge on the mask I already have. Now that I have found this fantastic brand, I am planning to throw away all my old dust masks. There are many reasons to choose these.
Sanding, dusting, and painting were done with this type of tool. This would not be recommended for fume-producing chemicals or spray paints that produce strong fumes. Inhaling "heavier" particles is best suited to the 2291 because you can usually see them and you do not want to inhale them. My recommendation would be the 2297 for spray painting, or dealing with household bug sprays, or dealing with chemicals or fumes in the home. These are products I order frequently for me and my wife, and we use them for spray painting and cleaning cat litter. It is impossible for me to smell or inhale fumes while wearing them.
The mask should be good quality, but you must make sure that its compatible. On the inserts of the filter, there are three notches. Check to see if your mask aligns.
For trimming grass and trimming string, you can use these. My allergies have been relieved by this, which may look silly, but is the most effective thing I have done. There is sometimes a smell of grass in the air. I can relate to the feeling of being in your car with the windows down and passing somebody who is.
