DO NOT BUY IT. There is nothing like this in real life. I've purchased and used this item several times in the past and have always been impressed with its quality. My attention was drawn to the filter while switching it out with a new one, as the new one was significantly thinner than the old one. It has never occurred to me before that this type of filter will cause a harsh, unpleasant chemical smell when I put it on. As I mentioned, I decided to cut several pieces of wood and see how it goes. As a result of my smell, I can clearly tell that it is not an authentic product. When using these filters, you should not be able to smell anything through them, and if you do, it is usually a sign that you need to replace it. My search led me to the review of Mary M. False filters are all over this page, and amazon seems to not care about the problem or to be able to solve it. Your health is worth more than risking it.
