Ear Muff, 25dB, Gray

It rips in half the grommet at the elbow that holds the muffs to the arm. To attach the muffs to the arm after the grommet broke off, I ran a bolt from the inside of the muffs under the foam to the outside of the arm through the manufactured hole inside. As with my previous pair, I had to put a bolt through the grommet in both. It occurred to me that they would break in the same spot even after I bought a second pair. The hard hat and first pair I lost are both gone now. Although it may take some time to fix, it is very simple. When I worked on the second pair, I didn't wait until they broke on the job before I fixed them. Until I had made my repair at work, I had just opened the box and done the repair before I got there. Moreover, I cannot figure out how to send my pictures in the right direction. The comments were right on my computer, so I sincerely apologize

Edit 8/17/2019 I was going through my old reviews and came across Due to the fact that I still own these earmuffs, I have upgraded it to a four-star review. The earphones seem to be holding up well after undergoing the repair I outlined above. The muffs will last as long as the hard hat, as long as you hold on to it and keep it from getting lost. As a side note, when it's windy, I'll use the muffs so that my hard hat doesn't go flying. Most of the time, I have to work in loud places and earplugs aren't my thing. I love the earmuffs because I can use them when I need them and take them off when I'm not needing them. I have dirtier hands, so I'd get dirt in my ears if I shoved earplugs in and took them out all the time. As short as it is, I've had the same pair for three years now and they are still working.

The entire MSA package is great An accessory that can be worn with a brim hardhat around noisy machinery. This product hooks right into the MSA hardhat side slots, allowing for a comfortable and quiet working environment. These tethers work great over a hardhat liner, which comes in handy when it's cold out. Normally, other brands only work with cap type hardhats, which can be seen by the blunted crook in the arms of many of these hardhats. I chose these over other designs because they specifically work with full brim It is easy to fold these things back when not in use and to ride along with the hardhat dome when they are not in use, making transitions between loud and quiet environments seamless. The ear defenders provide a very secure way to attach a hardhat to your head. Although they add a bit of weight, keeping them up there is worth it for me working out of a pickup truck keeping gas compressors running where exhaust noise from Cummins and CAT engines is so bad that a person can deafen in a short time. Even though the price is $10+ more than other well known styles, I think they are worth the money because they are specially designed for the MSA full brim hats. You could choose an earmuff set with a cross band behind the neck instead.

These earmuffs are used with my Microsoft Surface Pro 3 A full brim hard hat provided by Gard. It works great I can keep the noise down, I can keep crap out of my ears, and I can hold my hard hat on while working. Despite being put up and down quite often, the MSA model lasts significantly longer than my previous 3M model. I wish MSA offered a Bluetooth version, which is why I was using the 3M X4's, which offer a Bluetooth option with a On the whole, I am satisfied with my purchase, particularly since I found there aren't many options available for hard hats with full brims. You may want to check these out.

This product does what it is intended to do well. It was said in another review that wearing it for long hours strains the neck, I concur with that. It was necessary to take them off and put them on at different times. The Fourth Task It took me 21 hours to turn them on and even now, I talked to someone who has them and loves them for 10 years, and he said you'll get used to them, and I don't use them often enough to justify leaving them on all the time. I've worn them a handful of times and taken them on and off over a dozen times since purchasing them and they are still in good shape. They do not pose any problems to me.

My ears are comfortably positioned over them. A clip on the brim allows you to rotate the earmuffs around the hard hat. They fit perfectly under the wide brim of my MSA Safety As well as the hard hat light, I purchased a MSA Safety chin strap and a Slonik 1000 luman hard hat light. A career in the oil fields requires this type of combination.

I am satisfied with the quality of the hearing protection, however, the clip with which it attaches to the helmet is beginning to wear down after prolonged It is possible for one or both of the helmets to fall off when they are flipped down on the ears. Helmets with full brims can be worn over these.

The earplugs are an excellent choice for anyone who is exposed to intermittent loud noise and wears a hard hat with a full brim. I don't think anyone with a very high sense of style would appreciate these, so if that's your thing, you might not like them. In terms of hearing protection, they are perfect so long as you want them in a convenient way.
