Questions & Answers

Having trouble hearing the birds, typing, and footsteps in the office, I would like to get this to use at work. The problem with earplugs is that they are cumbersome to use. What is a good pair to buy?

That's not going to work Noise cancellation at higher levels is one of their main functions. If you want to cut out noise from birds, footsteps, keyboards (and even barking dogs), solid earplugs are the best choice. It is likely you will still hear these "quiet sounds" even with these earmuffs. When leaf blowers, lawn tractors, or heavy machinery are in your vicinity, pay attention. Whether you are shooting a 50 caliber gun, or the like, you'll be pleased with the comfort provided by these muffs!

Do you snore?

Those who snore should consider if they might have obstructive sleep apnea if they snore regularly. There's an easy way to treat it, but it's dangerous if ignored. Is their breathing similar to their snoring even after they've been asleep for a few hours? If you hear several seconds of silence after they've fallen asleep, they should be evaluated.

Is it possible for these to block out other voices?

How loud they are determines how far they can be heard. In terms of sound blocking, they do a good job. Having to yell for my son to hear me, if he is wearing them they make it hard for me to hear. Talk can be hard to hear in normal circumstances.

I'm delighted to have found this product
5/5

Being active and overtired is something I do all the time Retiree in his 70s who spends much of his time using noisy lawn equipment (e. g. We have push mowers, zero turn mowers, lawn trimmers, blowers, snow blowers, etc. ) As a result, my hearing has probably declined more rapidly than the hearing of many others over the years. Because I didn't use hearing protection for much of my life, I did not wear hearing protection. The earmuffs I already had were too small to use with a baseball bat, so I bought a set of new ones The cap must fit well or no headgear is allowed. As skin damage from the sun is also a problem, I began the search for something that would allow me to wear a hat with a very wide brim. My search ended with the 3M Peltor, and it has not let me down. It is an awesome product! Whenever I mow, I use foam earplugs AND headphones underneath a wide-brimmed hat for extra protection. It may be difficult to see me, but I now feel well protected from both ends of the metal rod. You have a huge fan in me!.

I don't know

You are wasting your money if you do this. The contract has been in place since 2011, and will end in Since 2011, I have been doing it. It took a year or so for the edges of the plastic to start coming off. This was especially useful for me to use while sleeping or studying since I have an enormous family and could hear them talking through the walls of There was still a little bit of sound that I could hear, but not enough so that I would notice it. It gets rid of the TV noise, though. The snoring of my brother in another room is sometimes not enough to make it stop (although, there is an open window between us, so our rooms are connected, our house is really weird since it's extended). The following pros Please note It is great for sleeping, as long as you don't mind the bulk. Reduces television background noises*PRO Reduces background noises *CON Please note It takes about a year for the plastic to wear off - I get a lot of it stuck in my hair*br/ It was too bulky (I didn't mind because I prioritized sleeping on my back and made it work. ) These headphones were okay, but sometimes they would slip off when you were lying down due to the slippery plastic. The more you spend, the more you get in return. As of last week, I bought Clear Armor Shooters Hearing Protection 141001 from Amazon's choice for around $10 and I can recommend this product more than this one. It's smaller, it's cushioned, it's sturdy, and the soundproof works much better. There's an impressive amount of background noise that is quieted in this way.

Simply the best! You have done a great job! The over-eating has been getting to me In the - As a veteran of the head version, but wanted a second pair, I thought I would try these in this style, so that I can wear a hat with them when appropriate. had never heard of these until I came here intending to get another pair of the other style as I had never seen these in stores (Actually, I rarely even see the other style any more- The reason I came here was the fact that those work so well, and are very durable, so I wasn't going to risk using Anyway, this is what I have to say. These work like a charm! These quiet down the world for you they're durable and don't need to be handled delicately (they really work! To be quite honest, I find these to be even more comfortable than the above mentioned In the - This style of helmet fits perfectly to the head, and stays securely in place even when operating equipment like tractors and mowers A hopper on a tractor eats and hops on and off. There has not even been a need to turn on the over-ride In the - You've got string things built into your head. It is irrelevant to their security they remain safe I have to say that these are among the best ear muffs I've ever owned.

I like the quiet and comfort of my room
5/5

It is a review of a model seen from behind the head. Many hearing protectors including other Peltor models have been used by me over the last nearly six decades. Using the model behind the head is the first time I have used it, and I found it to be extremely useful time, I can comfortably wear a hat and the ear muff style protection at the same time. Although I found the spring tension to be more than adequate to hold the protector in place without using the provided over the head strap, the protector is just as comfortable as the band over the head style Peltor, which is in turn more comfortable than any other brand I have ever The fabric band should protect against sweat so that they should hold up as well as the "regular" style. I have not used these in hot weather yet, so they might slip due to sweat. In my opinion, they offer superior protection and are easier to wear with a hat than any other gloves I have tried. I use them when running a chain saw as well as when working with gasoline powered tools.

The difference between 5 and 2 stars is A review of the update has been made After one year, the purchase price is refunded

The mower was purchased in May 2018 for mowing. The first review is as follows This may be the first month of They are not as soundproof as the over the head style, but they are more comfortable and they can be worn with glasses and contacts Instead of trying an over-the-head hat, I tried one with a hat. I regret to say that it is not as soundproof as over the head style. During the spring and summer, I only used these once or twice a month It is autumn. It had been a few months since their last use, so I used them for an hour or two and then put them away 1) I will donate these as well as I will continue to search for a comfortable type.

The system I don't understand this product too well except that you just place the muffs over your ears and boom, you can't hear a thing
4/5

That's all right. When I say you cannot hear anything, what I mean is that you cannot hear mostly soft or In my home, I mostly use this product to block the music that my roommate plays My neighbor is 5 feet away from me (small room) and his music is loud enough for me to be distracted if I don't try to counteract it. However, these earmuffs do not entirely muffle loud noises rather, they muffle a loud sound while leaving the rest audible. The music of this artist demands a lot of concentration on my part. What about his music with this set of earmuffs? Do they distract me? There is no need for that That means it's a win for me. The reason why I knocked a star off of the rating is because I don't feel 100% comfortable in it. I would give it 80% if I had to rate its comfort on a 0-10 scale with 100% being the most comfortable. It is necessary for me to remove the muffs after an hour or so to allow my head to rest for five minutes. What are my thoughts on this?

Would I recommend it? My answer would be yes.
