A feature of the earmuffs that I dislike is the push it takes to press them over the ears since it takes a lot of force to do that. The same is true when you have to separate the earmuffs from your ears at the end It might get easier after a while if you use them regularly. For my personal safety inside some industrial plants, I will use these as part of my protective equipment.

Being a residential arborist, I work a lot at noise levels that can be uncomfortable and loud. These ear muffs are super quiet, super comfortable, and super light. While they are on, I don't feel any part touch my ear. Believe it or not, you will need a screwdriver to remove them once you put them on your hard hat. It's exactly what I wanted for only $20, and for that price, you can't beat it. The pair I have right now will be replaced as soon as they break.

This cap matched the 3M hard hat perfectly. The way they were snapped on took a few minutes to figure out. As soon as they are not being used, the muffs retract upward and lock away from the ears. But what I enjoy most about them is that when they are down and on the ears, they ensure the hard hat stays on my head securely. My head is pretty big (almost a size 8). I can use the hard hat's ratcheting band to fit me, but the hat falls off pretty easily when I lean over or pick things up. With the glasses on, the hat stays in place. It's great for chainsaw work when you need good hearing protection and you need to move around frequently.

When used with my petzl hardhat, they do a decent job, but if you wear the chin strap with the muffs you have to adjust the size to be comfortable, but for quick hearing protection you can't do better. These are the ones I use on a daily basis and I've seen some of my coworkers buy some after seeing mine. They are a little uncomfortable with the type of hard hat I have but far less bothersome than the loud noises.

A pro is Exceptionally high quality, able to take a great deal of abuse above and beyond the norm. A radio's clarity is one way. The cons are This size DOES NOT fit at least three brands of hard hats with full brims. They would clip into them very nicely and securely, but the brims did not clear them sufficiently to let the ears spring back into place.

Combined with a helmet from 3M, they work great. As I had a full brim helmet, I found that the clip fit perfectly, but the metal arms did not extend far enough to clear the brim and did not It really helps the helmet to fit better on my head because of that feature.
