A glove holder such as this one is designed for glove storage. Your hard hat will not be able to grip properly because of the small teeth.

Similar products are sold by a variety of vendors. I don't think this one is different. All of them are garbage. DO NOT BUY if you are not a desk jockey who wants to show off his or her PPE. There's no way you'll ever find your gloves again, clip or no clip, and will never know where they went or when they went.
When compared to everything else, this brand is the best. If you're still on the fence about buying these, I can tell you they are top notch. An employee of our company sold a knockoff version of our truck It is possible to get a cheaper, off-brand version of these for a much higher price. I got the belt ones and they are perfect for MOLLE straps. This product is made of solid plastic (nothing chincy about it) and the grabber part is strong. Using these gloves, you'll never need to worry about them falling off when you brush against something or when you have to maneuver through a tight space. As a follow up to this, I'm going to try out the suction cup version.
This belt slips on and off my belt smoothly, yet it keeps its shape when attached. It has built-in safety release "cutouts" which, in the event the glove clip was to get entangled in something, would allow the clip to loosen and release. In the past, I have had my gloves caught multiple times and the glove clip has released itself without a hitch each time. I was able to reattach it without any difficulty and it worked as expected.
I thought the part that grips the gloves worked well, but the part that slips over the belt definitely needs some extra grippy areas to make contact with the belt or the clip's other side. I believe this would be most effective as a light duty item on a very wide tactical- kind of thing A belt of at least 2" in width It would be better if the belt was 3" wide. The belt clip is really just a slide loop with a clip attached to it As it wiggles, rotates, and generally moves around, it gets in your way, which is rather contrary to it being there in the first place.
This is the first rig I have ever received a double arm for, and I love it to pieces. Yet it's not quite as good as the first. I still like it a lot and I use it every single day. The clip does, however, sometimes fail to hold onto pants when being attached to them. Using it with a belt is the only reliable way to use it since there's a bit of a lip on the belt to hold it in place.
The 2 parts often separate/fall off the belt clip, requiring me to search all over the plant looking for my gloves. I've been using these things for almost 7 years now, but they often fall off the belt clip and often separate/fall off. Finally, I threw out the belt clip and passed an inexpensive carabiner through the eye on the grabber and I have not had a problem since. My setup proved so effective that two other guys at work asked me to get them the same setup as well. There is some wear on the gripper over time, but my first gripper lasted for nearly 4 years before it broke and my second one is still in great shape after 3 years of service.
I tend to hang my glasses around my neck, but they tend to fall off at some point, and I don't keep track of them, so I either have to find them or someone has to keep telling me that they've lost their glasses! Using this little gadget, we are able to solve our problem!.
I can also free up some space in my When I work, it is imperative to keep gloves close to my body. I find it very convenient to have this on my belt. I can also free up some space in my I used to stuff and store my gloves when not in use in this case. The only downside is that this will break after a certain length of time I wish there was a metal version of it. My luck has run out after a couple of years. Although they may be more expensive, they are worth the convenience and price.
