During my installation, I will have about three inches of concrete to go through. Is the bolt that comes with the swivel okay to use?

A hole does not have to be fewer than four according to the manual. I would like the border to be at least 8" away from an edge and be at least 5" deep.

Do you have to place brick vertically for this to work?

You make a great point! Ideally, this anchor must be mounted on a surface with at least 3000 pounds of pressure. In this case, the brick would be the determining factor.
