KwikSafety GATOR - all hail the bird! The GATOR is a versatile, hinged roof anchor that is ideal for use on homes and businesses that have flat roofs. Neither wood nor metal roofs need to be excluded from the use of the GATOR temporary roof anchor bracket. With no screws, nails, or fasteners included, the GATOR still has 16 holes on each side (a total of 32) for attaching wood trusses or anchoring steel roofs. Tested to ANSI standards and OSHA compliant, the GATOR is an excellent guard against roof falls!
The anchor bracket is weather resistant, so no worries about rusting if the anchor bracket ends up outside. The GATOR is designed for one person use. It has a maximum load capacity of 140 lbs (310 lbs).

The carriage house roof on my house had to be repaired because it sloped steeply. A heavy duty carabiner was attached to my safety harness rope after I had crept up to the roof peak and attached the device.
