Questions & Answers

Did anyone use these over their Would you be able to describe how they worked if so?

These goggles can be worn over glasses without any problem for me as I wear glasses. However, I have 49/18 frames and they fit perfectly well. They might be an issue if your glasses are large or bulky.

How effective are these in protecting against UV rays?

This UV-resistant polycarbonate material offers full protection from the sun.

The safety glasses fit well over normal glasses, but how well do they function?

In addition to my large head, I have a large frame. From ear piece to ear piece, the lens of my glasses measure 5 13/16 inches across. Under these goggles, they don't even come close to fitting.

Is the ANSI rating of these goggles such that I can take them to work and use them if I prefer them to the factory-provided ones, or could I use both of them together Has a safety eyewear policy been put in place?

A polycarbonate lens meeting ANSI Z87 can be found on the Dewalt Internet Site. The company provides 99.1% of the standards. Protects against UVA and UVB by 9%. Goggles with a clear or tinted lens must be constructed to the same specification

Until they fog up, they're only useful for a few seconds
3/5

It is strongly advised that you do not buy them. Previously, I was wearing normal safety glasses when working with my router and something bent around my glasses and got in my eye. When I bought these, it was because something managed to bend around my glasses and get into As a result, I bought these bad boys because I wanted to make sure my eyes were completely protected. There is full eye protection provided by them. In any case, they instantly fog up. We are just doing a round over on a few foot section of wood with the same router job. I think I can wear these glasses for about 2 minutes. It's like looking through hazy water by the time I get to the end of it. A coating of dust forms on top of the water, which collects water on the surface and clings to dust.

I was unable to wipe it clean as I tend to have wood dust all over my clothes. Maybe if you are doing something that does not create dust or sweat, these would be okay, but I wouldn't recommend them for woodworking.

A dust mask mixed with fog is called a The glasses case fits well over my glasses
3/5

It prevents dust from coming into contact with The problem is. The issue of fogging has to be addressed. My glasses fog up rapidly when I wear them when also wearing a dust mask. It may be possible to modify them so that air cannot come up from the bottom vents, and see whether this UPDATES AND FIXES Here's a trick that will keep your face mask from fogging up when you wear one. Apply a strip of tape from cheekbone to cheekbone over your bridge of the nose and place it between the mask and your skin. As a result, all the moist air ends up escaping out of the bottom and side As it turns out, surgeons do this to prevent the same problem. taped the fabric skin with Scotch tape there instead of the fabric itself This tape seems to be safe to use, but it seems to be working.

Almost like a mask, but you will end up with a fog just as soon as you put it on
4/5

From the moment you take them out of the box your vision is clearer than any safety glasses I have ever worn. Peripheral vision is remarkable. * The seal around the pace is great. * B* The seal around the pace is great. Although these offer a great field of view, there are a few significant issues that I encountered
** If you live in a humid area, they will and do fog up quick
** They scratch very easily as you can see from the pictures attached.

It is useless
3/5

I gave these goggles 5 stars at first, but after using them I am able to give them only Those who are pro These are crystal clear right out of the box, it's as if you can't even tell that there is anything in front of you. A great deal of peripheral vision is present in your case. As well as being very light, they are also quite durable. The cons are as follows When the lens is used for a few minutes, condensation begins forming inside the lens, which interferes with seeing About five minutes after usage, they are no longer usable. My reasoning for getting these was to keep dust out of my eyes and to keep my prescription lenses clean while I sand. In addition to wearing a respirator and hearing protection, I sand with a respirator. These would have been more useful if they had worked as expected. There is a description that says they have antimicrobials The fogging effect. The lenses in my case didn't fog up, they looked like water had been poured in. It was a disappointment.

I wear glasses
5/5

A pair of glasses would have to cover the goggles. One of my friends recommended these to me. It was hard for me to believe. The first time they were used, they performed the job without complaint. I was able to wear my glasses perfectly The foam and worbla did not get under the goggles as I sanded them. The price was amazing and we're very happy with our purchase.

Getting woodwork done with this stuff isn't advisable
3/5

The update is After I did woodworking in my garage using a table saw and miter saw, I was constantly breathing dust into my eyes while wearing these tools. My respirator failed to block the bottom gap, so even with the mask on, dust got inside. They're better than nothing, but I've ordered a different set of goggles to see how they perform. While they seem high-quality, and they fit comfortably over my goggles with a respirator on, there is a big gap under my eyes around the sides of my nose. There seems to be no way for users to adjust this, and I can only imagine this would be problematic in very dusty environments. With a respirator on, I likely would be in that much dust, so it should be fine. I will update the review after I have done some demos.

Giving a lot of support to the intensive care unit
5/5

The reason why I bought it is because I work as a critical care nurse for patients diagnosed with COVID19. I have found this extremely helpful when it comes to protecting my eyes against anything entering them. Because of their potential to fog up, proper positioning is crucial for preventing fog. In my experience, tape is usually used to ensure that the N95's top does not touch my face, which prevents my breath from getting in. It's impossible to find a perfect goggle, but these are the best I've found. They work also better than the face shields that we were given, and I actually find their fogging to be more of an issue.
