I was waking up with numbness in my hand several times during the night, and it was horrible! What a relief it was to get a better night's sleep after only one night of sleeping with this brace on my wrist. I also try to wear it as much as possible during the day. This is a very effective product, and given that you can use it on both hands, it's an excellent value for the money; I'm so glad I found something to provide me with comfort and pain relief!.
It took me a few weeks to figure out how to wear them in a comfortable manner. The velcro appears to be curling back a little after a few weeks. When it comes to comfort, the strap closest to your fingers should be loose. br>br>******Updated 4/20/21br>I was contacted by the seller, and the updated version was sent to me. I've been using it for a couple of weeks now, and it's definitely improved my situation. I've attached photos for comparison. The left-hand brace is the original, while the right-hand brace is the new version. br>br>The newer version tries to address the velcro complaints by using a slightly fuzzier material with slightly larger and more aggressive velcro, without going overboard. It's definitely better now, so I'm bumping it up to a 4 from a 3 (almost a 2). Why not give it a five-star rating?br>br> I've worn braces that were more comfortable and supportive. I have yet to find the perfect brace; perhaps it does not exist; however, I have purchased braces that are less comfortable and supportive. It is a good value because it is located in between and is reasonably priced.
I decided to give this wrist brace a try, and I slept for 8 hours straight the first night I wore it! Because it reminds me of Thanos glove (which can make things disappear), I decided to add buttons to the wrist brace. This wrist brace made the pins and needles on my hand vanish! If you suffer from carpal tunnel syndrome, this wrist brace is a lifesaver. I'm planning on purchasing another one soon, and of course, I'll give it a Thanos twist.
Both of my wrists are affected by carpel tunnel syndrome. I was using a Futuro wrist brace for night/sleep because I only wear my braces at night. After two years of regular use and washing, my previous pair wore out. So I went to Amazon to order two more, but they didn't have them in stock. As a result, I purchased two braces. There are no parallels to be made. In comparison to Futuro's night wrist brace, this brace is so weak and cheap-feeling. They were promptly returned to me. I found Futuro's night wrist brace at Target online and will never use anything else because it's strong, supportive, and well-designed. made, and it was well worth the money. This is a complete waste of money.
I must say that this wrist brace has been extremely helpful in relieving my aching wrist; however, the first night I wore it, I made the mistake of tightening it too much on my hand/wrist. I awoke with a swollen hand the next morning, so I decided to loosen it before calling customer service, and it now works perfectly. I type a lot, and this is one of the factors that has led to a "pre" carpal tunnel situation. I've had dry needling in my hand before, and it helped, but this seems to really relax my hand, especially at night when I think I'm making a fist. The super soft cushioning beads by the palm are one of my favorite features. This is an excellent product that I strongly advise you to try.
Not only can they be worn on either hand, but the beaded cushion also adds to the sleeping comfort. The adjustability is also excellent if you have larger hands. They have allowed me to wake up pain-free after long days of crocheting items for my small charity tree. They're also light weight, so they're not too bothersome once you get used to wearing them (most of us don't sleep with wrist braces). The added beaded cushion makes it difficult to hold anything. br>br>The only drawback is that it makes it difficult to hold anything. So drink water before bed, or drink from a bottle rather than a glass. br>br>I'd buy these again in a heartbeat! It was well worth the money.
Especially since it was my first purchase. Before I sought medical help, I had been suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome for several years. I was advised to wear a brace after my diagnosis. I had no idea which one was the best because there are so many, and after reading the reviews, I was undecided about this one, but I decided to take a chance. br>At first, I only wore it to sleep, but I noticed a significant difference after the first use. I couldn't sleep or lay on my side with the carpal hand for long periods of time before because of the tingling and numbness, but now I can. In fact, I'm sleeping well these days. This brace has made a significant difference in my life. The tingling and numbness aren't as bad as they used to be. Around a 70-year-old 80% improvement out the door is possible. The brace is very comfortable, easy to put on and take off, and can be worn with either hand; the small bean bag that rests in the palm of your hand is a nice touch that helps the brace fit more comfortably and securely. (I wouldn't want to wear a brace without it. ) ) And the velcro has held up well with no problems, and the metal bar isn't a problem. br>Secondly, a foul odor was mentioned. That was not included in the brace I received. At first, there was a strong odor that reminded me of new bicycle tires. The same material(s) could be used to make this brace. Alternatively, if you're looking for one, this is a good option.
