I can only say that it helped my thumb, but I did switch it out with another one every now and then. On some days, one of them was more comfortable than the other. However, this one was less expensive than the one I bought at CVS. It all depends on what you want to use it for. This isn't the best one to use if you have carpal tunnel syndrome. I had a thumb that was stuck in the lock position.
It does restrict my wrist's range of motion, but how much depends on how tightly I wrap the strap around my wrist.

This is a thumb splint that is both orthopedically and positionally incorrect, as well as potentially harmful. If you need to immobilize your thumb, you almost certainly have pain at the base of your thumb. This splint contains a hard stay that will run across the base of your thumb, causing even MORE pain when worn - Your entire thumb will most likely become numb as a result of this. I'm a registered nurse who has worked in the field since 1976, so I know what I'm talking about, and my advice is as follows: THIS SPLINT IS NOT TO BE PURCHASED.
For the price and quality, it effectively relieves pain. Because I have tendonitis in my thumb, I bought this product to help stabilize it. Overall, this is a fantastic product at an excellent price, with comfort being one of the most significant advantages. When I wear it, there are no hard spots or areas that hurt my hand. It's also very simple to put on and take off, thanks to the simple straps. The only issue I had was that, even with the brace on, I was still able to move the top part of my thumb more than I had hoped. Overall, it satisfied my requirements, and I would recommend it to anyone suffering from minor hand pain, tendonitis, or anything in between.
It's light enough to be comfortable to wear while still providing support where it's needed. It outperforms all other major brands. At least, that's how I feel about the ones I've tried, and I've tried a lot of them. br>And, perhaps most importantly, it is accompanied by excellent customer service.
I purchased this item to help with the arthritis in my thumb's base. I wore it for two days to help with a big housecleaning project, and it was a huge help! My thumb used to hurt even when I wasn't doing much, and it could have killed me at work. It doesn't hurt at all.

If you have small hands and wrists, I wouldn't recommend this. The top eventually bunches up, and there's no way to straighten it out. Because the straps are too tight and the metal bracing part slides onto the bony part of your wrist, it causes discomfort. br>However, if you have a normal sized hand, I highly recommend. For teeny-tiny hand issues, look at the photos.
One copper item and one non-copper item were purchased. Because both hands are affected, copper was used to do a side-by-side comparison. When I picked up a beverage glass, my thumbs became more achy. I needed something to keep them from moving around, and either of these will suffice. It's too early to tell which is better: copper or no copper. It might take a while because they make me hot, and since I live in Florida, it's hot most of the time, the cooler months will be the best time to use them. I prefer the non-copper straps to the copper straps, especially the one that goes around the wrist, because they are more comfortable to wear, despite the fact that they make me hot. It feels great not to have a throbbing in my thumbs. br>br>Sorry, I forgot to mention that the star reduction is due to the fact that the jury is still out on whether or not the copper is actually helping me. I'm not sure how long it will take me to notice a benefit, or even if I will notice one at all; right now, the restriction in my thumbs is the most significant benefit. It's so much easier to hold a glass of water now.
My doctor advised me to get a brace for my thumb, which has osteoarthritis and hurts just to touch. However, after looking into all of the different splints available, I couldn't find one that would allow me to type while working on a computer all day. I came across this book, read the reviews, and decided to order it anyway. I'm glad I took the opportunity to do so. One Velcro strip wraps around the wrist, another wraps around the hand, and the third wraps around the thumb. As a result, I believe it will fit most hand sizes, thanks to the adjustable Velcro strips, which is a great feature. The stiffness is ideal for daytime wear. This product has exceeded my expectations.
