They are the best knee pads that I've ever owned by ALTA, and I use them every day. Two pairs of gloves are always in my tool box. One pair goes in the truck and one goes in the work truck. A pair of these gloves is also kept in my shed for gardening and lawn work, and two pairs are kept in the basement for other household chores. As a result of my poor knees, I need to wear knee pads whenever I am on my knees, even if for just a few I found these ALTA kneepads to be very light and comfortable enough to use all day compared to other knee pads I have tried in the past. As long as your weight is stable or your knee is positioned correctly, these pads won't roll from side to side as they do with thick gel filled pads. To hold them in place on the knee, the adjustable elasticized straps have clips that lock over metal studs. Even if I'm continuously walking from one place to another on the jobsite and continually climbing up and down, these straps will hold the pads firmly in place. It's a mistake! After 10 seconds into a 9 minute test (with the straps tightened as far as possible without cutting circulation to my legs), they fell off my knees (particularly the pads), and the rest of the test was spent dragging my knees across splintered wood and concrete.
