Yes. There is a metal support that is encased but can be removed. This wrist support has been a lifesaver for me. When I used to wash an item, I would remove the metal support, but this time I left it in place and it worked perfectly.
I didn't have this problem the last time I placed an order.
It's a 6-inch distance from the top of your palm to the inside of your wrist. 1/2” . The wrist brace can also be washed by removing the metal bone. It is extremely relaxing.
I couldn't find an answer on Amazon, but since it's a 3M product, I went to Google and discovered that 3M products are manufactured in Minnesota. br>Just to let you know - The small was far too small for me, as I am 5 feet tall and weigh around 100 pounds.

I have the Futuro Deluxe (356) for my right wrist, but I've recently discovered that I also require support for my left wrist. I needed a lighter brace for my left wrist because I didn't require the same level of stiffness as the Futuro Deluxe, so I ordered this one. I, on the other hand, was let down - It's just a thin neoprene wrap with a splint inside, with a cushion running the length of the splint, but it was quite irritating. I tried to focus on my work (computer work/typing), but I couldn't take my mind off the splint- Because it's rounded and bulky, rather than flat like it should be, it kept pushing up into the bottom of my hand/wrist. I'd say it's not particularly sharp; The cushion does a good job of keeping the splint's edges from digging into your skin, but it's a bit bulky, as I mentioned. br>br>Because the rest of the wrap is just a thin neoprene, I had to wrap it SUPER tight to get any support. The neoprene's support isn't distributed evenly either. Only one layer of neoprene provides support to the back of the hand/wrist, where the tendons are located (if your wrist pain is caused by tendonitis or inflamed connective tissues). They should have used thicker/layered neoprene and sewn-in inner supports if they were going to make a neoprene wrap with no metal/plastic inner supports. Instead of using pleats to add support, an Ace bandage will suffice. It's not a great value considering the Deluxe is around $20, an Ace bandage is about $5, and I paid $19 for it. br>br>On a side note, the stitching on the velcro tabs does not appear to be very secure, and the edges are raw. I'm concerned about the wrap's durability based on how it stretched and moved while being used. However, because I'm returning it, I can't comment on its durability.
This wrist brace is light and comfortable to wear while sleeping. It's comfortable to wear while sleeping, reading, or doing light housework because of the adjustable gentle secure pressure. If you air-dry it, it can be washed. It should only be dried. Underneath the thumb joint, there is a gel padding that is very comfortable. If you want to wash it, you'll need to remove the flat metal stabilizer, which you can do by sliding it out of the bottom sleeve. Because of its three-year warranty, I prefer this brand to others. Velcro fasteners are strategically placed in key areas to ensure that all pressure points are met. Other braces only have two velcro fasteners or ones that aren't attached to the sizing band. br>br>The brace is made of a soft/spongy scuba type material. Other braces don't appear to have the compression sleeve that this one does, which was a major factor in my decision to buy this one, along with the fact that there were three velcro fasteners instead of just two. For hand and wrist pain caused by RA (Rheumatoid Arthritis), there is plenty of room for your fingers to move without losing the secure feeling.
These braces are ideal for carpal tunnel syndrome and other painful wrist, hand, and finger conditions. However, they aren't long-lasting enough. They'll last longer than your carpal tunnel syndrome symptoms. The velcro tears the surfaces to which it is attached, and the velcro tabs on the ends of the three support straps are poorly sewn on and fall off after a few weeks. The neoprene and lycra edges aren't bound or finished, so they wear out quickly. This is a fantastic option for either a temporary or long-term condition. If you're willing to replace the supports every 4 to 6 weeks, this will be a long-lasting one.
I believe I sprained my wrist because it has become swollen and painful to move. (I'll go to the doctor if it doesn't get better soon. ) But this was $5 cheaper, delivered, than the same one at CVS. Also, I wore it to bed and my thumb was numb for a few hours the next day; it's too constricting for bedtime, but it's great for during the day. I am a 5'7" woman, and this small/medium size fit me perfectly.
This is the third time I've purchased a brace in this style. Carpal tunnel syndrome is the first symptom, followed by tendinitis and arthritis flare-ups. They are available in both right and left handed versions. I purchased a second right-handed one to use exclusively at home, leaving the older one at work. That way, it won't be a problem if it gets dirty. I'm grateful to have these on hand for when I need them. It relieves the pain while also allowing me to continue working.
I've had my brace for about three months and it's done an excellent job of assisting and protecting my broken wrist. The only problem is that the threading is loosening and the edges of the straps are fraying. It does, however, do a fantastic job of molding to your wrist and arm, and I'm glad I bought it. I also like that the metal bar can be removed or added as needed for more or less support.
I've had carpal tunnel syndrome for a long time and can't sleep without these. For the past five years, I've been wearing them. Because they are so helpful, I have backups just in case. They were so comfortable and such a relief that I didn't even have to get used to them. br>I've tried other brands, but my hands are small, and they've always been too large. These are fantastic; I'm not sure what I'd do without them.
I bought a size S/M, which is ideal for a woman of average build. I've tried those that can be worn on both wrists, but they're not for me! I adore how futuristic these Futuro-inspired pieces are. For optimal use, 135 wrist braces are available in both left and right wrist options. It keeps me cool throughout the day and night. Thank you, 3M, for designing a great and affordable product that is light, comfortable, and non-restrictive.
