Black is also something I'd like. Reading the newspaper stains them and they do not wash away.
They're only good for a week or two. Cleaning them is a challenge. It appears dirty even after I wash my hands with it on. I need to figure out how to clean the brace the most effectively. Aside from that, I'm pleased with everything I can do with it.
One can use both hands, but after 20 minutes of wearing it, it causes severe blisters in the space between my thumbs. I think the part from the thumb to the wrist is too short, and the wrist part is still loose, so it hurts my hand for a week to heal, but the wrist feels no support, and I wish I could show you the picture of the injury it caused. I don't think it's a good idea.
This is a poor response, but it must be changed! I'm also a white person.

I spend a lot of time at a computer keyboard and I also do a lot of gardening, and this brace allows me to type and do yard work at the same time, which I can't say for any other splints or braces I've tried. br>br>First, I'm not sure if De Quervain's disease is my issue, but I have severe pain in the lower part of my right thumb (dominant hand), so I'm guessing that's it, along with arthritis. My wrist did not hurt when I tried the hand test I found online, but my thumb just above the wrist did. br>br>I've had some cloth-related issues. In the past, I've worn compression gloves that felt good but turned nasty after a while, and the dryer ate them up like socks. Based on my wrist size, I ordered a medium size, figuring that any compression was better than none. br>br>At first, I thought it was too big, but after a few wears, it seems to fit perfectly. I was worried at first that the compression on my thumb would be too gentle, but after washing my hands and rubbing the affected area with some high-quality lotion, I realized that it was just right. Because of the woman whose thumb crease became sore and broken, I pulled the end of the brace up higher on my thumb so the brace rests above the crease, and that also seemed to help apply more pressure to my thumb and pull it back a big to keep it straighter. br>br>I'm allergic to latex, but I haven't had any reactions while wearing this brace, so I'm guessing it's silicone rather than latex. I didn't notice much of a difference in temperature after wearing the brace for the first 15 minutes without the coconut oil on my skin, but after rubbing some coconut oil on my skin, I felt the area under the brace warming up, which is fantastic. It'll be interesting to see how my skin reacts over time. br>br>I'll wear it for 24 hours and see how it feels, and if I notice any negative effects, I'll report them. However, everything has gone well so far. br>br>UPDATE: br>br> There are no side effects. It appears to be working for me.
Because I wash my clothes frequently, this waterproof splint is ideal. I'm going to sanitize my hands 40 times. When I'm seeing patients, I say this 50 times a day. After a long day, I turn the splint inside out and sanitize it with alcohol. air- dry. Rugged and long-lasting My occupational therapist coworkers were impressed with this splint because it was inexpensive. I would strongly suggest it.
Approximately ten years ago, I underwent surgery for Dequerivan Syndrome. When it started acting up again, I wore my ridgid brace for a while, but the immobility made my wrist and thumb worse, so I ordered this silicone brace. As long as you keep it on, it works perfectly. You can move your hand normally and do almost anything with it, including washing your hands. The issues are as follows: Moisture gets underneath quickly, making it feel like you're holding a wet hand (it gets all pruney), and you can't do any real work without tearing the product (painting my porch). Some might argue that it isn't meant to be worn all the time, but I need the support when I'm working. so. I'm not sure if I'll keep them; you get four braces in total, and after a month, I'm on my second.
I wanted a soft support and maybe even a tad of compression because I was suffering from trigger thumb and its associated pain and weakness. I tried a traditional thumb splint, complete with metal bar, and it only made things worse. This one has been a huge help and is exactly what I was looking for. Wearing it helps to alleviate the pain and allows my thumb to move more freely. It's not ripping at all. Unless you use brute force to break it, it's quite durable. I frequently wash my hands, which I can do without removing my gloves. However, after a few hours of wearing it, the underside becomes hot, sticky, and itchy. It's very simple to look after. Wash with mild soap and water, allow to dry, and lightly dust with corn starch on the inside. Despite the fact that I'll almost certainly need surgery to repair my thumb, this is making life a little easier until I bite the bullet and have it done.
They appear to be a good value for money product. I had to give them to my daughter because they were too small for me. She seemed to enjoy them, so I'm thinking about ordering a larger pair. These appear to be quite small right out of the box, and while I understand that they are meant to be compression, the sizes do run quite small. My 11-year-old daughter was able to wear them because I ordered them in a small size. I'm hoping for a good fit in the medium size.
After 2 hours of testing, this item caused severe pain in my thumb all night. My wrist hurts after giving birth, and this item provided no support for it. I believe it's too tight on the thumb to wrist stretching part, because it pressed my thumb line red and swole, almost like a cut. All night long, my hand has been in excruciating pain, and it continues to do so as I type this. Thanks to the DOCTOR who was suggested to me, I was able to get the help I needed.
It can feel a little "clammy" underneath the band at times, but I've found that applying a little powder before putting it on helps. I think the fact that you get four in the package is a good deal. I'm overjoyed that I came across these! They might get me through until I can see a doctor, or they might help me get to the point where I don't need to see one at all, as I've only been using them for four days and already notice a difference!.
