Questions & Answers

Is this a right-handed or a left-handed product?

It's not handed, so it can be worn with either hand. I hope I was of assistance.

Is this the best Wrist Brace brand in terms of quality?

Yes, Ace braces are of high quality. I have ankle, wrist, and thumb braces from this brand, and I have no complaints.

Is this a little too rigid? Or will I be able to do a push-up by bending my wrist?

There isn't any stiffness. Push ups should be possible, but if you put it on too tight and wear it for more than an hour, it may become uncomfortable around the thumb. br>I know this because I've used it myself.

Is there a velcro closure/adjustment strip on this?

Yes, there is a lot of adjusting to be done. It's what I use for biking, and it's great.

The Velcro snags on everything, so I can't wear it
3/5

As a result, this product is well-made in general. It's well-made and reasonably priced. . . I'm giving it a poor rating because it's essentially worthless and I can't wear it due to a design flaw. The Velcro that secures the brace in place does not stay in place. Well, it does for the most part, but after a few minutes of use, the edge begins to unstick, and the Velcro adheres to everything. . . mostly my clothes and my work mouse pad. The first day I wore it, it snagged my clothes a few times, and when I try to wear it at work, it snags at my mouse pad constantly. And each time it snags, it causes it to unstick a little more, allowing more Velcro to snag onto whatever it's catching, whether it's my clothes or the mouse pad. It's extremely inconvenient, and no one wants something snagging their clothes all day? I've attached photos so you can see what I'm talking about. I've also attached a photo demonstrating that the tag/label differs from the one in the listing, though this isn't a major issue for me. Another reason for the low rating is that I attempted to return it two days after receiving it due to these issues, but it stated that it was not returnable. That's extremely aggravating to me because I've already had to order a new one because I can't continue to wear this one because of the snagging issues. br>br>Hopefully, this review will aid in the decision-making process for someone. The older version was my favorite
3/5

I had previously owned other Ace braces and preferred them. I'll admit that the material is of decent quality. The current design makes it a little restrictive, and the fabric undoes the stretch material the brace is made of, so I can't put it on my wrist as snugly as I am accustomed to wearing a brace, rendering it nearly useless to me as I require compression. When worn all day, the edging at the top and bottom can irritate your skin. Furthermore, the Velcro does not secure as well as it did in previous models, which is extremely inconvenient. Another product that has been ruined by the introduction of new and improved features.

I'm not going to use it very often
3/5

After sustaining a repetitive strain injury to my wrist, I purchased this to provide compression and stabilization. It has a number of flaws in my opinion. br>The strap pulls on my thumb, causing it to become uncomfortable. br>The wrap retains a lot of heat, which aggravates my condition (my injury requires ice, not heat). br>The amount of compression is difficult to adjust, ranging from doing nothing to completely cutting off circulation. br>The wrap does not go down far enough to actually stabilize my wrist. br>The end of the wrap is bulky and lands in a place where resting my wrist on the desk for computer work is uncomfortable. br>br>I'm a big fan of how the hook was implemented. The attachment style is a loop. That was a fantastic job.

Being a student and an artist is a dangerous double homicide, but it's saved my grades over the years
5/5

I've been using it for a few years (I'm not sure when I bought it, but it's been that long) and it definitely works. Because I'm a student, I always end up writing my notes by hand, and I have a death grip on my pens and pencils. As a result of overworking my hands, they became numb or sore over time. br>The same thing applies to art: overworking with a death grip results in sore hands and wrists; I usually put this on during my breaks or leave it on overnight if the pain is severe, but it really helps. br>However, I've never discussed these with a doctor before, so you might want to do so first to see if they're beneficial!.

Good wrist support—thank you, Amazon employees, for your dedication! So far, it has been extremely beneficial to my wrist
5/5

During my quarantine, I've been doing a lot of home workouts that require me to put my body weight on my hands, such as planks and pushups, and my right wrist is having a hard time keeping up. Carrying a plate was becoming excruciatingly painful. Since I first got it a week ago, I've been wearing it nonstop. The raw edge around the thumb area is fraying a little, but otherwise it's holding up well. It provides enough support that I am able to perform the majority of my daily activities pain-free. I've slept with and without it, and I've noticed that when I don't wear it, I wake up a lot because rolling over onto my wrist is extremely painful, whereas when I wear it, I sleep much better. Rubber is an extremely breathable material. I'm grateful to the Amazon employees who delivered this item to me so quickly during these trying times. It has helped me avoid a great deal of discomfort.

Support that is both light and comfortable
4/5

I sleep in it because it appears that I am a failure. Support that is both light and comfortable. I sleep in it because I apparently have a problem sleeping safely and have given myself the beginnings of carpal tunnel syndrome WHILE I WAS SLEEPING! It's strange to go to bed with no problems and then wake up with a sprained wrist. br>Ha! Without a doubt, I am the klutz of the year. br>I'm glad I caught this idiot condition early enough that I might be able to recover on my own. This wrap appeals to me, and it appears to be functional. Why not a perfect score of five stars? The thumb hole is perfectly round, which is the wrong shape for this, and it isn't reinforced, so it stretches and gives as you wrap the thing around your finger. As a result, there's a strange and unsettling pull. However, you can get around this by putting your index finger down in the hole while putting on the wrap, so it still gets four stars.

Inconsistent photos and a lack of a firm enough support wrap This product's photos and videos are all over the place
3/5

The video shows a solid black wrap that is one piece with all Velcro underneath the wrap, but the actual product shipped has a separate piece of Velcro as the clasp and the Velcro remains on the outside. The one piece wrap in the video has much stiffer support and thicker neoprene, whereas the other is thinner fabric and much less support, and the exposed Velcro clasp can get snagged on things. This item's description should be updated. Due to the item's ineligibility for return, Amazon issued a refund to me.
