Aside from that, the reflector was poorly placed in the center of the tail cap and its operation felt cheap. My first suspicion was that the flashlight was fake, so I went on YouTube and found videos explaining how to spot Streamlight counterfeits. I want to do my best not to think this will be the trend with Streamlight products, as I have purchased products from USA companies in the past. Our troops and first responders would greatly appreciate the support of these organizations. To the extent that it is am also inclined to think that, by comparison, the Fenix style lights I have seen recently are superior to these Streamlights, both in terms of value and performance. Even though the LED was more centered in the reflector, the tail cap switch was still a bit off. It seems as though there are loose BBs or something similar in the rubber switch before it is activated, and even then I feel as if there are plenty more "empty" spaces inside it to make the switch activate. Because of this, you need to insert your thumb or finger deep into the tail cap cavity to receive a momentary or immediate response. When using bare fingers, it can be challenging. With gloves on or when in a rush, it would probably be difficult. The reason that Streamlight would consider that this is a useful function is beyond me.

Lights like this really appeal to me! I was left in the dark the other day, and this light coupled with two 18650 rechargeable batteries provided me with light for over 16 hours. More than four hours of that was of 500 lumens brightness. Lights like this have a really wide up close field of vision yet you can still see a long distance from them This is a great light at a great price. You won't be disappointed if you get the rechargable batteries and charger as well. Because the battery is rechargeable, the light is brighter and lasts longer. This is now mid March 2020 (UPDATE). The light EDC sits on my nightstand, and it has been in my pants pocket from the moment I put my pants on in the morning until the moment I take them off in the evening. My original batteries still work great, and I still have the two I bought with it. While hunting with it, I have dropped this light numerous times, been in pouring rain with it, etc, and it has always worked well. I have worn out the paint on the edges from keeping it in my pocket, but that just makes it unique. Despite the fact it has been around for about 2 1/2 years I think this light is great, have bought a few more for friends and family, and I will replace it if it stops working or gets lost one day.

There are five days left until the return period ends. Last night, it was working fine. The 18650 battery was removed to be recharged, and the battery was reinstalled. Not a thing. I'm hoping to get an exchange soon! Perhaps this one is a dud? I like the light, but is it worth buying?.
