I have not used it long enough to know how long the battery lasts and what the battery life is like So far I have not been able to get It is a bear & a deer park I found pieces of my husband's truck in the trash a few weeks ago. I am confident that this bad boy will pinpoint exactly what is left in the yard the next time we hear a sound after dark. I really want to see a bear, not just the mess it makes of my trash. The purchase I made was very satisfying for me! I highly recommend this book!.
