I was surprised at how much this light was for only $26. It is true that my 395nm uv light does not illuminate all the areas and stains around my furniture like this 380nm eye-catching light does. This light is brighter than a 3x AAA powered 395nm light I've used for years, and thanks to a micro usb port on it, you can recharge it. One particular thing I wish Anker had done to improve this light is to make the battery compartment more accessible so that it isn't permanently sealed. This light is powered by lithium batteries, such as the 18650 in use here, which will lose their ability to be charged and discharged If I am going out for an extended period, for example on a backpacking trip or expedition, I would love to be able to replace the drained battery with a new one, rather than having to bring a charger and having a completely useless light while it is charging. This results in a 3 star rating rather than a 5 star one. I give this review five stars. I would have given it a bump up and given it a rating of 4 stars, however the flashlight accessory that came with it was cheap and lacked in quality. Almost any other brand of light, no matter what its price, from Fenix, Olight, Thrunite, SureFire, etc. also usually comes with a spare OSD battery A pocket clip, a sheath (if the light is large), a charging cable (if it is rechargeable), and a lanyard are included with most lights. However, this Anker light only came with the standard 12" charging cable and a lanyard. Upon looping it over my wrist with a gentle tug of the thicker side, I noticed that the plastic piece that held the lanyard together was gone. The next thing I have to do is prepare yet another micro-documentation Light does not have a cable or a mechanism for carrying it. It's good I have an extra sheath I bought years ago for a Thrunite that fits this light loosely. If you don't care about a way to carry it, or for having a dud light when the battery runs out (until you charge it again), and you just want an excellent, effective, powerful UV light at a reasonable price, this is the one for you. If you will be leaving the house, be sure to charge it fully.

My garden will be lit with the black light I ordered. It changes the color of the tomato hornworms' eyes after sunset when shined on my tomato plants. The pesticides are not needed so it's very easy to find them and pick them off. sized is just right so that I can work on one plant at a time, and I won't damage the plants from holding it. I'm not displeased with the light in any way. But I'm displeased with my housekeeping to an extent. As soon as I got the light, I walked around my house after everyone had gone to bed and shined it all over. In my opinion, I am very clean and neat. It has shown me, however, that I need to scrub all the walls, cupboard doors, and remop all the floors. The floor looks like there were cans of fluorescent yellow paint spilled on it from all the dog poop I missed. For the past week, I have been bleaching and scrubbing every day. Neither the light nor the camera are to blame. Everything it should have done was accomplished.

It's pretty impressive that this little UV light works. Compared to the couple other ones I've tried in the past, this is MUCH brighter. We maintain a small, TNR'd feral cat colony, and every once in a while a new cat shows up and sprays on the bushes or cat shelters, so we can spot the urine easily and kill it with a good UV light. I purchased other lights that were similar in price and size but did not have a strong beam. All of the stains were difficult to find. I'm very happy that Anker Bolder has solved that problem for me! This is really an amazing book. I really wanted to give it five I was really disappointed to learn that the batteries inside aren't removable or replaceable. The product is very sturdy and well constructed, it's very bright for its size as well. That fact completely escaped me, and I didn't even think twice about it since I own two other Anker flashlights that feature 18650 batteries that can be easily replaced. Due to the degeneration of the battery, this UV light will eventually cease to work when the battery runs out of power. Although I'm sure I will use the device a lot, it is still a disappointment that the battery cannot be replaced.

A short time after it is turned on, it seems to dim. You should pay close attention to the 18650 battery included. My only concern was the (non-detachable) part. I wasn't even thinking about an 18650 flashlight without the ability My apologies for not catching that mess earlier. This was a purchase I made. I will now review what a waste it is to not have a battery that can be replaced on a flashlight. It would not be worth it to A lot of my favorite things have an Anker name on them. This is not the case.
