I have never seen a smoke detector like this before. During the renovation of my house last year, I installed brand new smoke and CO detectors throughout the entire house (8 detectors total) and within a week of installation, one started alarming that there was a fire when in fact there wasn't anything going on. In reading the instructions again, I found that I had mounted the detector in an area that had been "less than perfect, but still within specifications". The detector started beeping and wouldn't stop beeping as soon as I moved it and reinstalled the battery. A new one was mailed to me after I returned it to the store where I bought it. It lasted only two days before doing the same thing with the new one as well. If it happens once, it may be an anomaly, but if it happens twice, it may be The week is seven days long. You have a pain in your It is not worth the money! Once the battery runs low every few months or so, it immediately starts talking to you and chirping. It is impossible to sleep through it when it happens at 2am. Purchase it at your own risk. In the current technological era, this does not make sense. I've got a mini nightmare on my hands.
