Questions & Answers

What is the fit between the mansfield mpp 201-EXW and this product Where can I find a model 216 We have found it very difficult to get a tank to bowl gasket for this old ?

It's not a question I can answer, but I was wondering if the gasket you picked up was the right one. You and I are in the same boat.

What is the model number of this item?

There is no direct fit for these bolts on the This is a huge problem.

How can I determine if this will fit my model of toilet by finding out which model it belongs to?

On some toilet bowls, the name brand of the brand can be found just above the If you look in the lid of the tank, you will find a number that is either printed or molded into the ceramic/china material. I have a Mansfield toilet which has the name printed on the bowl just above the lid hinge etc. when you close the seat down you should be able to see it. A lot of good information can be found on the Mansfield web site, as well as what models are compatible.

In what role does the ballcock coupling nut serve?

Designed for an installation of a new toilet, the kit consists of the following parts. Nuts are used to attach supply lines to the fill valve of old-fashioned style.

Mansfield 160 handled it without a problem
5/5

Because of some reviews I read, I was a bit sceptical when I bought this. A replacement for the model 160 was listed on the Mansfield site and it worked as advertised. An easy to install rubber sheet that fitted to and filled the holes tightly with no leakage or seepage from day one. Installation All three parts should be installed loosely, and then the two sides should be tightened evenly so that they are You should do the same with the rear one, but not as much as the side ones. The tank has to be level left to right and the side one need to be sufficiently tight After that, level the rear one by tightening it to the corresponding level on the front. is the advice I received from a plumber and it very much worked.

The Mansfield 160 will work with this The installation process is pretty simple
5/5

On the bolts of the tank there is a rubber gasket molded into the plastic. Through the mounting holes on the tank, pass the bolts and tighten them firmly. It is best to install the tank and bolts through the mounting holes in the bowl of the toilet and then secure the tank to its bowl assembly from the bottom with nylon/plastic bolt nuts. There is a good YouTube video by Mansfield that demonstrates this step-by-step process. For the bolts from tank to wall to be the right distance, I had to adjust them a couple of times. Don't rush the process and everything will come together just fine.

Attempt to pass Mansfield 160 but fail
3/5

Worked for Mansfield 160 but did not work for the company anymore. This tank does not have the right kind of holes for the bolts to seal correctly. I give up!.

Helped save me money from a service call by a plumber
5/5

It was a perfect fit for this kit. Simple to install I found it easy to use In fact, I had a difficult time removing the rusted bolts. -Caution don't buy anything until it's been thoroughly tested. Ensure that the tank remains level while the bolts are tightened. My first two toilets were fixed, but my second one was not fixed because I tightened the back bolt too much before tightening the front bolts Due to this, the tank tilted backwards and caused a leak in the seal from the tank to the bowl. Several things had to be adjusted and loosen up.

I did a good job
5/5

One of the bolts that connect the tank to the bowl has started leaking on my American Standard toilet. Bolts like this are not found in both big box stores or plumbing supply stores, so the original bolt was unique. (Three attempts were made) contacting American Standard and I couldn't even get someone on the phone to order replacement parts. Take note of One week later, I received a call from someone. It is worthless. A tank to bowl kit did not work with both of the "universal" kits I purchased. The Mansfield kit was found again and I decided why not give it a go again. It worked like a Despite their strength and well-fitting design, they are very sturdy. Neither a leak nor a leak. Were I to buy again, we would certainly do so, but ideally we would not have to do so.

It is now possible for me to enjoy my free time watching TV the way it was intended rather than wrestling with Attempting to fix my leaky toilet with universal parts from the hardware store cost me a lot of money
5/5

All of them did not work, so finally I ordered this kit specifically made for my brand of toilet, and it worked great. The toilet tank is no longer a primary source of frustration for me. I can now spend my free time watching TV as God meant us to!.

To improve seals, I recommend puttingty
5/5

Although I need this kit in order to attach the tank to its base, my first assembly attempt did leak at one of the three bolt locations. I considered using plumber's putty, but thought it was probably not necessary to use it. Neither a suggestion nor a recommendation was made regarding this As a result, we removed the bolt heads, added putty, and it has been cured of its Despite this, I am not necessarily faulting the product, since my tank may have had an irregularity in bolt location that prevented a proper seal, which is not always the case on every toilet. As advertised, other than that, everything worked as it should.

This kit mounts and seals tanks well
5/5

I carefully tightened the three mounting bolts as I found the sealing material to be almost too thick, but made of a very soft material, so it easily compressed. A big plus was that the sealing washers were built into the bolts - that was a great idea The tank does not leak and it is easy to mount! While I tightened the nuts from underneath, I noticed that the mounting bolts did not tend to rotate. This is an easy-to-hold tool that can be tightened.
