I went with these because they are solid brass, which I think is the reason for my decision. I discovered that the OEM parts were not solid brass after just 8 years, and they had eroded. All of my tanks were equipped with these. Thanks for reading, I hope you find it helpful.
It is brass that is used for the screw and washer on the tank. It is not true for the wing nuts.
The bolts, which are quarter inch in diameter, are also the same size as the washers -- The inside diameter of the line.
The tank bottom gaskets go on either side of the bottom to seal it, then the first set of washers and wing nut are used to keep them in place, then the second set of washers and wing nut secure

The kit includes brass bolts, steel washers, and nuts. However, unless you do this before or you are a professional, you will likely end up with a leaky toilet, and call Instructions are not provided at all, and this is a serious issue. It turns out that one rubber washer is a bit smaller than the other. First, there are two pairs of rubber washers. There is a good chance you are going to miss one. The place and how you place it matter If there are no instructions, you will be directed to videos on YouTube, where there are a lot of misleading ones. you've watched them, you might want to start with the bolt and washer Waxes made from rubber, washers At the bottom of the tank A rubber-based material Machines that wash The washer is made of metal Sandwich made with nuts. I ended up with a minute leak when I did that (I was able to procure two additional rubber washers to do so). It can be seen in a lot of videos and websites. What I ended up doing that led to a leakfree tank is as follows. "- " The large rubber washer is then threaded on to the bolt - The bolt and washer can now be inserted into the tank. Install a metal washer on the bottom of your tank and push the bolt into the washer- Make sure the bolt and nut are tight (you don't want to crack the tank and get It should be possible to feel/see how much compression the rubber washer goes through to seal the hole completely. Please note Repeat the same procedure for the left side of the hole - Make sure the tank is on the bowl - A rubber washer and a metal washer should be threaded together. Please note The wing nut should be threaded on to the bolt for this project, and the bolt subsequently tightened. FWIW, my theory on how this arrangement works is as follows. An example of a bolt-metal bolt is Machines that wash Waxes made from rubber, washers At the bottom of the tank A rubber-based material Machines that wash The washer is made of metal Often, leaks occur because the rubber washer is unable to deform into a conical shape due to the nut arrangement. In comparison to the bolt-rubber washer arrangement, this seems like a more logical solution At the bottom of the tank The washer is made of metal However, you would have to tighten that assembly, which was likely to lead to a crack in Thus, it is important for the seller to provide detailed installation instructions This is to avoid potential errors when writing them by random buyers. This would have rated a 5 out of 5 if they had actually done it. The toilets are ready for disruption, by the way. Could Dyson be seeking ideas for new products?.
A picture might indicate that there are 4 nuts and 2 wingnuts when that isn't the case. It is disingenuous to show a picture that way.
In the first time I have installed a toilet tank this way, and I feel it is a much more efficient method of doing so.
As far as I can tell, I could have used the second rubber washer when the bowl was connected to the tank with the wingnuts, but I instead used the rubber washer under the tank with the metal washer and the nut to provide additional leak protection. It would have improved my rating if the manufacturer had included an extra set of rubber washers for use when tightening the wing nuts. Apart from that, it's quite standard. The set is reasonably priced and of good quality. The nut will need to be tightened with a 12mm wrench as well.
After only a few months of use on two toilets, all of them are rusting, and one is leaking.
The system still had a small leak when it was A sealing agent for automotive parts worked great for washers.
Using a magnet, we checked that it was solid brass. Perfect. I wanted it just like that. There is hardly any solid brass to be found in stores anymore. The steel ones were brass coloured, and they corroded rapidly.
Brass is only used for the bolts It is iron that is used for nuts and washers. They would have gotten a 1 or 2 star rating if they were more expensive.
