Mine is number one. 1/8 of an inch
The cover is 1 1/4 inch high and 1 1/16 (diameter) across the top. I believe it is made to fit any bolt.br>We were very pleased with the cover.
It's made of plastic, to be sure.
No, you'll need to remove the nut, then replace it with the washer and the nut. If you had caps previously, they may snap onto the old washer.

It's a huge step towards a clean and finished bathroom for a few dollars and literally one minute of time. It came with two different sized plastic nuts to choose from, the grey was a good fit for all my bolts because the bolts on my toilets stood about 1 inch proud of the toilet base (see attached photo). There was no need to cut the bolts because it completely covered them. I would recommend this product; my only regret is that I wish I had done it when we first moved in three years ago!.
It's easy to set up. Unlike other kits, there is no need to remove the nuts. br>1) Place the cups over the bolts to see if any of them need to be trimmed down. If they do, hacksaw them off, leaving only two. 2) If there are no threads visible above the nuts (i. e. if there are no threads visible above the nuts), Cut them flush with the nuts and tighten them until you have at least one. There are currently five threads visible. If you use too much force, the porcelian will crack. 3) Screw the plastic discs (flat side up) onto the bolts ABOVE the nuts (there are two sizes of discs in the kits, one for small diameter bolts and the other for large diameter bolts). 3) Place the discs on top of the cups and snap them into place. Done.
Process that is efficient. There is no need for any additional equipment. The caps on the toilets in my rental unit needed to be replaced. br>br>Put the cap on after screwing the plastic threaded washer thingee on the bolt. There are two steps in this process. There is no need for any additional equipment. So easy. The bolt nut must be unscrewed before the plastic threaded washer can be installed on the other brands. The bolt is then screwed back on before the cap is placed on top. There are four steps in the process. Because I'm lazy, I despise taking extra steps when there are other, more efficient options. Nonetheless, I spent about 30 minutes watching videos of various brands being installed. lolbr>br>It's also less expensive than competing brands!.
These are cut bolts only, so they didn't fit our ostensibly long bolts (which was misleading because the description said they were nearly 2" tall, but our bolts aren't that tall). I guess I'll have to buy the more expensive ones. The cost is about right for a few pieces of plastic, which is probably the only positive aspect of this item.
I live in an apartment and don't have the tools to cut the bolts, nor do I want to spend a fortune on bolt covers (the old ones vanished when the floor was replaced). As a result, I kept them, and they're much nicer than the bolts. Make sure to take a measurement of your height. Aside from that, I like the quality and how well it fits.
Because my toilet bolts were too short, they didn't fit, but I believe the covers would have worked if they had been higher. They are extremely simple to set up. Screw the flat part of the screw all the way down to the bottom. Attach the cover with a snap. The white color matched my white toilets almost perfectly. The price seemed a bit high to me.
Many customers said the item fit perfectly, while others complained that their bolts were too long. I was in the 'too long' category, but they were cheap, and it was better than the alternative of having nothing on and staring at an ugly, sharp bolt.
This should be the standard for all toilet bowl covers. The cap's insert screws into the bolt's nut, and the cap snaps into place. To remove the cap, unscrew it rather than prying it off. You'll also receive two 1/4" and two 5/16" inserts, ensuring that you have everything you require.
