It's so horrible that my "small bathroom refresh" has turned out to be the project from hell making me want to throw my house out and live in I find it irritating that after the new toilet was installed, completely, and the contractor left my home, I see a couple of huge bolts sticking up, and they seem to be sticking straight up. I hate it. Since I don't have a saw, I didn't want to have to buy a tool, figure out how to use it, get frustrated cutting through metal, probably cut myself and damage the toilet, only to realize I needed to go back to Home Depot and purchase some stupid plastic hardware. Then, they fall off all the time.
So, I looked here, for advice from my favorite online retailer, Amazon. It would be great if you could. That's exactly what you The process involves just a couple clicks on a website, a couple of days to wait, an easy-to-open package, and 30 seconds to screw these things on - BOOM - they're done. SOLVED! It's wonderful, perfect and perfect! I can't imagine what else would be used for a cap on a toilet bolt. This, in my opinion, is the only way to cover a toilet bolt.
In order to use my old ones, I had to replace them. It isn't acceptable that I am as enthusiastic about toilet bolt caps as I am, but these were FREAKIN' Basically, my old ones wore out, the toilet was leaking at the base, and I also needed a new wax ring, and the old bolts were kinda grubby, etc. Installing the new bolts revealed that the new bolts were about an inch longer, which resulted in the caps no longer fitting. Because I do not have a bolt cutter on me, I was upset that my toilet now had unsightly bolts sticking out of it. My search on Amazon led me to this product. It was easy to install, screwed right onto the bolt, and matched my white toilet perfectly. In my previous comments, I said this. I love it! It's just perfect. Moreover, it is a great price.
Exactly right for a 1/4" bolt. During the screwing process, the 1-inch threads slid down smoothly The bolts on our too long screws are 1/2 inch tall. Here is a picture of the before and after.
It didn't fit over my long bolts, even though the Kohler caps were good. This is what I found next. The longer bolts are covered, but the caps do not snap into place since they do not have a base like a Kohler cap. However, while they look nicer than exposed bolts, their location always gets messed up when they are being cleaned. We ask Stinky John to redesign this product with a snap-in base so that it can be easily installed. It is difficult to fix them or snap them into place and I often find myself handling them on a If touched, they will fall over. They would just like to be set down in one I did not find this a bad product, but I also did not find it a perfect solution. It is one thing to make sure the bolts can reach the threads to be secured into place, but another to ensure they can reach the bolts.
What took someone so long to realize this? Short bolt caps, which were glued over the bolts with caulk previously owned by my house's previous owners. With a razor blade, I was able to get out all the caulk. The 1/4 inch bolt I ordered for my American Standard toilet will fit, but make sure you check your bolt size first. (You can find online charts that tell you the bolt size by counting the threads per inch. ) I am very pleased with my master bath now that these bolt covers have been installed!.
Because they are threaded and screw on to the bolts holding the toilet in place, they are easy to install and stay in place unless you want to remove them for cleaning. During the installation of my installed toilet, I used larger washers than usual. These covers fit over them easily. I also did not have to cut any of the bolts off because the covers are tall enough. Compared to much less desirable alternatives, they are well worth the slightly higher price.
The Plumber returned to fix the problem Replace the seat with a new one When he was sealing the toilet, which is OLD, decades old, he installed new bolts that are larger and stronger. However, they forgot to mention to me, until I had to call them again, that the new bolts were too In response, they said they would charge me again if I came out, as there is a fee involved. My reply was, "Thank you, no thanks. ". That's a good height for them. Bolts on the new one are both TALLER and LARGER than on the old one. Nevertheless, the caps are very well fitted. Only bad thing about my toilet is that it is have a white color. It is better than no caps, or ones that don't fit. I wish to be able to get Almond, but it is a bit difficult.
Thank you for this purchase. This is a very good purchase. Almost four years ago, we purchased our home, which had the rusty bolts visible. The plumber told me about covers last week, and I didn't know we could order them. (I would put a piece of cut drinking straw over the bolts. I saw this product on Amazon and decided to buy it.
