Is it possible that these are made of copper? "Made of polymer plastic," not "Made of polymer plastic," as stated in the product description! ?

They are, in fact, made of copper and perform admirably. There were no leaks at all when I used both 1/2" and 3/4" copper rings.

Is it possible to use these on 3/8" pex pipe?

Yes, they are extremely effective. As long as the rings are crimped 90 degrees square to the pipe, no pex ring will leak; if they are crimped crooked, no pex ring will leak.

It works perfectly and costs a fraction of what you'd pay at a big box store

A 100 pack of 1/2" shark bite clamps from Amazon costs about the same as a 25 pack from the big box stores at the time of writing this review. THAT IS EXTREMELY VALUE FOR YOUR MONEY! br>br>They fit perfectly around 1/2 inch pex tube and crimp easily with the crimper I bought on Amazon as well. (The IWISS crimp tool in blue case with tube cutter and ring removal tool) I'm at a loss for words. So far, there have been no leaks, which makes me happy.

In comparison to the big box store, this is a brand name at a great price. br>I used an Iwiss clamp tool to test one of these 1/2" rings, and it passed the no-go test; the wife even crimped it and said it was simple! Because our house is entirely made of Pex, I wanted to keep this as an emergency parts kit in case of a water leak.

With a crimp tool, it works great for a first-timer! These are fantastic! To stop a small leak inside the drywall, I had to replace the inlet valves on my washer box

Rings made of solid copper

I couldn't crimp these correctly because my crimp tool was completely useless, so I had to go out and buy some new rings and tools. br>However, the crimp rings that were delivered were of excellent quality. Even though some of them were slightly distorted, they still fit over the pex perfectly. I purchased a 25-pack and double-checked that they were all present.

This was my first attempt at crimping 1 inch supply line, and at first glance, the ring appeared narrow in comparison to the 3/8 and 1/2 rings I was using in the project

The good news is that the crimp was clean, and the ring looks good. The bad news is that I had to use my crimp tool like a 400-pound gorilla to crimp the ring. Because I added a SharkBite shutoff value to my supply line, I had to crimp three 1 inch rings, and let's just say I didn't go to the gym that day.
