The self-regulating pipe heating cable system is intended for use in mobile homes and other dry applications. It can also be used to protect metal or plastic water supply and drain pipes from freezing.

The ETL has given their approval. The out jacket, as well as the electrical ground, is made of tinned copper braid. The heat is only delivered where it is needed with a self-regulating heating cable. The cable output will adjust itself according to the ambient temperature at each point along the cable. There's no need to be concerned about the possibility of overheating. More secure. Straight, spiral, or overlap can all be used. It is more useful.

High-quality electrician's tape, such as HEATIT glass cloth tape, 1/2" thick fiberglass insulation with vapor seal, wire cutters or heavy scissors, Phillips2 slotted screw drivers, Ruler or measuring tape are some of the additional tools you might need.

The pipe freeze protection application requires the HEATIT HTM connection kit. This is a separate kit that you must purchase.
