Heating mats are much more difficult to use

I used heating coil mats on my first heated floor, which worked well but were a pain to install. To change the direction of the heating pattern, start by laying out a plan, then cutting the mats and flipping them over. With my second installation, I used the Dirta Heat cable, which is simply inserted into the underlayment membrane. If you need to, you can easily change your layout, and if you have too much cable, you can alternate spacing. The thermostat is my only reservation about this system. It appears that the ambient wall temperature, rather than just the room temperature, has a significant impact. This product was used on a room that had been added onto the original house. As a result, even though the thermostat is mounted on an interior wall, it receives some cold intrusion due to the fact that the wall was originally an exterior wall. So, on a recent cold and windy night, the floor was constantly on despite the fact that the room temperature was actually 68 degrees but the thermostat read 58 degrees. It returned to normal after the wind died down. Using an infrared thermometer, I was able to confirm the problem. To see if it helps, I'm going to spray some insulation foam above the thermostat.

Schluter has a fantastic heating system. I know it's not a room heating system, but I can feel the warmth radiating upwards. It's a simple system to set up, and my entire family now believes I'm a magician. I recommend that you go to Schluter and watch as many videos as possible that are relevant to your installation, then do some additional research on YouTube. Installing all of the components is as simple as they show. Thank you very much, Schluter.

I purchased a cable that was the perfect length for my bathroom. To fully comprehend how to install, it is recommended that you watch a YouTube tutorial. It warms up quickly and evenly. I enjoy the sensation of warmth on my feet after a shower.

The item is in good working order, and the one I received came with an installation manual from 2017. The item itself hasn't changed, but the instructions for installing it have. I had to remove it and re-install it. lay.
