Yes, I have a pair of these on my new washing machine, and they work perfectly. If I had to do it all over again, I'd go with a 45-degree coupling instead of this one. Because the horizontal portion of this fitting is so short, the hose will travel very close to the back of the washer and may rub against it depending on how things are lined up. The difference in space between the 90 and 45 degree couplings should be minimal because most washers must accommodate a drain hose. Also, because most washers have the hot and cold inlets placed very close together, the wings used to tighten them may interfere with each other. It takes a little fiddling to get them to interlock and tighten properly, but it's not a big deal after that. (You can't take out one hose without taking out the other.)
I could go out and take measurements, but I already purchased three of these. I attached one to my outside hose faucet so that I don't have to scrape the back of my hand against the bricks when changing the hose. The other two I used on a metal hose reel to make the hose line I attached to it turn more smoothly. This Camco item is made of solid brass and is of high quality. When I bought this product, I was unsure as well. As a result, I've gone out and purchased one. It was a perfect fit for my hose and faucet.
Yes- It has the ability to be swiveled into place. After being attached to a faucet, the connector end is machined to swivel.

I thought the price was too good to be true, but I trusted the Camco name because I've had good luck with their products in the past. However, as soon as I took it out of the package and ran my fingers around the threads, one of the machining burs pricked my finger; however, I decided to make the best of a bad situation and tried to clean up the roughness with steel wool, but it didn't help much. When I turned on the hosebib on my system, water began to spray out from all directions. I then tried wrapping the threads with plumber's teflon tape, but that didn't completely stop the leaks. br>I went back to the Amazon site and used the magnification tool to look at the Elbow again, and you can see all of the pits and ragged edges in the metal. I wish I had done this earlier, but I was relying on the Camco name, and I could have saved myself the trouble of having to return this useless piece of metal.
I bought it two months ago and it's already falling apart, despite the fact that I've only touched it twice while moving my RV. I went outside today to find it leaking a little and tried to tighten it, but it snapped. I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did because the retaining metal was so thin. There isn't much there to begin with. Perhaps it's just a fluke, but this one appears to be poorly constructed.
however . These 45o elbows are made of solid brass and are well made. The PLG Garden Hose Elbow Connector, on the other hand, is available in a two-piece design. $11 for the whole pack Except for two small wings on the back part, which you tighten - 99 is almost identical. The PLG elbows have a standard hex-shaped hex-shaped hex-shaped hex-shaped hex-shaped On the female end, premium hoses have a nut like this. I placed an order for both the Camco and the PLG 2- There is no difference in quality between the two packs - Unless the two tightening wings appeal to you. br>br>ALSO, if yours leaks around the swivel like mine did, the rubber gasket that came with it is too small to seal against the male hose bib. When I say the rubber gasket isn't big enough, I'm referring to the size of the rubber gasket. I mean, the gasket's inside diameter is too large, and it appears to be made of flimsy rubber that gets chewed up when you try to tighten it. Simply use a regular rubber hose gasket with a slightly smaller inner hole diameter - I was able to stop the leak as a result of this. br>br>It now works perfectly.
Even hoses with metal frames, such as the one we have, will show signs of wear over time. There's always a lot of tension on the fitting that connects to the camper, but having the added stability of this 90 degree fitting gives me more confidence. We connected ours to a quick connect so that we could quickly set up whether we were using city water or filling our potable water. What's great about leaving this fitting on the hose for potable fill is that the 90 degree angle allows it to hang just inside the fill hole on its own while you fill up. That means I can work on other projects while filling our two tanks, which takes a long time when they're empty. Such a low-cost method of extending the life of expensive parts you'd rather not have to replace.
br>Placing this between the fill nozzle and the cut-off nozzle is a good idea. The off valve and the filter eliminate the need for you to stand there holding the filter horizontally to keep it from breaking. br>After you've installed it, you can now insert the nozzle into your filler inlet and let the filter hang on the side of your vehicle by itself. There's no need to worry about the nozzle or yourself! It has a nice all brass connector with wings for tightening onto the nozzle end, and it should last a lifetime. br>This is a must have item, and a steal at this price!.
These are a must-have for any travel trailer or camper because they prevent the weight and pressure of your water connection from binding or causing a leak. br>br>Excellent product that pays for itself if it prevents just one problem. br>br>I connected mine this week and it worked flawlessly, and I really like the improved water hose connection.
